Reminds me of the Picard maneuver, where you make a quick warp jump towards the enemy and to their sensors you appear to be two ships for a short time
I was wondering what would happen if you micro jump a ship which is being targeted by a hypervelocity gun?
The shots would miss. The hyper cannon is just a firing weapon, like any other, except it is GUI activated. If the ship moves while the projectiles haven't reached the target yet, they'll just...miss.
Yeah, try shooting a HV cannon at a banking corvette and all the shots wildly shoot everywhere ha.
the other ships were shooting at the exit point of the micro jump before it was preformed, this will be fixed?
Will there be a min/max range for this ability? It seems like it could get a bit OP with limitless range. You could almost instantly jump heavy weapons behind an attacking force. Lead them out to attack, then micro jump behind them and start bashing on their shipyards. Although if this showcase is anything to go on, it'll only be for smaller ships, which I like.
I just back into play FOC and this was one of the mods I remember enough to redownload. I didn't know you guys were still working on this. Really enjoy the work you guys do.
Will you ever release the code for this ability when you have realested this version ?
