Post news Report RSS 1.0.5 files removed, proper patch in progress

The work-in-progress 1.0.5 files previously uploaded have been removed as they were buggier than expected. A proper update with further changes is in the works.

A while ago, we uploaded a package of files from 2012 that were originally intended to be released as a 1.0.5 update. We knew the work wasn't really completed, but we had been asked to upload them for others to work with. Since then, a fair few people appear to have downloaded the files hoping to find a proper update for the mod, only to find bugs and confusion. To address this, we've now removed the files again.

But! Worry not. The people who wanted to pick up the torch have acquired the files they needed and are now working on finishing up patch 1.0.5 in a way that will do justice to The Nameless Mod. The new team includes ZeroPresence, who was responsible for almost all the best levels in TNM (such as WorldCorp HQ and ABI HQ) and a couple of people who have worked on Deus Ex Revision.

If you want to follow their progress, you may want to keep an eye on the official TNM Facebook page or joining the discussion on the OTP Discord channel. Or if you're feeling old-school, there is always the TNM Discussion forum on the venerable OTP board. From those of us who no longer have the time to keep working on TNM, we wish them good luck!

Very nice news! It's great seeing two great Deus Ex mods come alive at the end of the year.

Awh that's really amazing to hear! I love to get back to the Nameless Mod every now and then, and seeing that there's a new patch waiting for us in the future feels great!
