100 years since the beginning of the First World War.

This week marks 100 years since the beginning of one of the bloodiest wars of mankind - First World War.

July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Russia begins mobilization in response to this threat. By 4 August major European countries are involved in the war - France, Britain and Russia on one side, Germany and Austria-Hungary on the other.

Great War led to enormous losses - more than 10 million soldiers and millions of civilians were killed. It led to the collapse of the Ottoman, German, Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empire, and to a complete change in the political map of the world, but did not solve most of the conflicts, which eventually led to the bloodiest war of mankind - World War II.

Unfortunately, despite the enormous historical importance, the First World remains little-known today. The team of our project "Battle of Empires 1914-1918" wants to change this situation and to remind everyone of the terrible events of those days.

Shouldn't you move this "mod" to the Game section?

It will probably be run through steam, considering thats where the Mod/Game is now, and Steam has already picked up the slack of gamespy on other games, such as ARMA II.

Interesting mod. Definitely I will play it!

Congratulations to the modding team and many thanks to everybody involved in making this mod.
I am but a humble player/user of such marvelous stuff, I have no modding skills, therefore I feel obliged to use every opportunity to express my gratitude for all the people who create mods, maps, etc. for MoW. Their work keeps up my interest for MoW and reinforces my passion for this game, with each mod or map. I raise my hat in their honor!
Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
