Zombie Panic! Source is a standalone cooperative, survival-horror, first-person-shooter! Set in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, players start as a small group of survivors attempting to stay alive. Each map will have its own objectives to complete and win the round or survive by a period of time.

its badly done...we should be able to grab things instead...like props and anything...so well make our own barricades,theres not screws and things like that everywhere....you know?

this should be updated...like it works only on wood no damage and works like nail gun or hl2 crossbow something like that it fix wood pieces to...

yes nails are missing and he does that in one hit sometimes its maybe that he misses or something and such things and you need to hit the wood more than 1 time on different places

No. Just no. First of all, who cares if it uses nails or not, and second of all barricading a door would take forever if you for example had to hit the board with the hammer in all four corners. I mean, try doing that while having 4 zombies chasing you.
The barricading system is great as it is. I really like it.

It's far from badly done, just because it's not to your liking. It's a well made system. Although I have to agree that picking up stuff and nailing it to walls would be really cool.
I agree to some extent but it gets the job done, plus its a preview
though I like the idea of picking up any object that can be used as a barricade and nailing it down

No. You pick up the boards and the hammer comes with it.
How do you play with that lower sens?
Considered that he might have put it down just for the video so it's not all shaky?
I play with 2.8-3.5 sensitivity anyways.

Sorry for the double post. Even though I hit reply, Mod DB keeps thinking I'm trying to make a standalone comment. Anyway, in response to Comrade_Suhov above:
As I, and many others have said before, L4D and ZPS are simply not comparable. You can like one better than the other, but there's no way you can actually argue that one is better than the other. Totally different kinds of games.
Infact L4D costs 50$ and I got totally bored of this buggy beta-version after 15 hours of playing. ZPS is totally free, but it's rep[layability is 4x times bigger that L4D one.
really i stick with the different games comment. Like L4D wasn't built to have 2 different modes. In fact the early betas and alphas only had the one mode Player Vs zombie Player and Computer. Later they changed it and now it can be Player Vs computer or like the old betas and alphas Player Vs player and computer zombies.
One main difference is the only zombies in Zp and Zp:s are player zombies. In L4d there are Player and computer zombies. The other thing is a player doesn't play a regular infected they play 1 of 4 boss infected. I would go further with this but i think by now you get the point. 2 Different games. Both=Very good

cool, but can the zombies bust through the barricades by hitting the door? if not it seems like this would completely screw many maps over in terms of balance (and make it hard to create new maps without worrying about people turtling behind barricades)

Which is for me a rather bad thing because i love playing zombie. I actually dont know how to win on hmm cabin. There are only houses and everyone of it was a fortress before this patch. Now the fortresses are even more untouchable?!
Hm... hope that it does not kill the fun being Zombie. And what about biotec. The door from the offices to the fountain was opening inwards. And i guess she was undestroyable. If the barricades block the door from the inside it means an instant win of the humans.

Very very well done, I was wondering why this hadn't been done in this mod yet since it's easily done on garry's mod.
I just worry about how it will effect the balance in gameplay. Personally, I think you should just make it so doors can't be opened by zombies, and that they actually have to bash the doors down if they are shut.
The only place a barricade system like this would be good, is in a singleplayer zombie game, and unfortunately, there are no good singleplayer zombie games.
Anyway, i'm not going to jump to conclusion, I think I would rather play it and see how it goes in game first, but I do have my doubts.

I'm enjoying the new barricade system. Yes, there are a few moronic teammates who will break a barricade, whether by accident or intention. However, admins usually make short work of them. All in all the new system adds a great new dynamic. I like it. :)

Awesome, thas what i allways wanted to have on ZPS this system should be at all Zombie Games And even L4D but maybe a little bit more realism
I think that's pretty cool, But could be improved. For instance, instead of hitting the board just once, maybe click a few times before the board stays. Also just as a little thought, perhaps make it possible to pick up the wood from somewhere on the map before hand, instead of it just appearing, this would add a sense of realism to the barricade system.
