Zombie Panic: Source is a co-op oriented Survivor Vs Zombie multi-player survival horror modification for HL2. While our main priority is to make the mod as fun to play as possible, ZP:S plans to greatly expand on the core features of "Zombie panic" For HL1, with the obvious new features, impressive visuals, and of course atmospheric maps. More importantly ZP:S will not force players to fend against dumb and predictable AI, but instead keep the same intense thrill of surviving against intelligent and persistent player controlled zombies as the original.

Zombie Panic: Source version 1.5.1 patch was released today fixing map, weapon, and console command exploits.

Today we released a small but vital patch for ZP:S which resolved some potentially serious issues. We also removed an exploit in Harvest that was getting around like OkeiDo in heat. So if you have a ZP:S server make sure that it's updated to version 1.5.1 and for everyone else just launch ZPS and steam will do the rest.

-Fixed Winchester reload exploit

-Fixed the problem where shell weight wasn't eliminated when Winchester was fired.

-Fixed a few map exploits/issues in Harvest.

-Fixed a few exploits in new version of Cinema.

-Made several exploitable server commands "cheat only".

-Added a " wins" message to server logs when a team wins.

I've got the constructive criticism.

This mod is great. Yes. But ONE thing I dislike :
Its very hard to find humans as a zombie. Perhaps some outlines like in L4D or(if you don't want to copy) some kind of "radar"? (And NONO for radar for humans. Just for zombies. Humans are great to play as it is. The fact you don't know where anyone is just builds up tension)
This will improve overall gameplay as zombie.
Cos its quite frustrating then you're playing for the first time and don't know the god damn map.

Agreed as well, and I've been playing the game for 2 years now :P

The maps are very large and well made, however some guidance system would make it easier for all players really.

I also agree with this to an extent. Aside from other obvious points, it would help to alleviate griefing when people camp on ZPO maps by letting zeds know exactly where they are, and ramping up the difficulty for survivors by making sure most if not all zombies in the game know generally where to go to get their brains.

The drawbacks: sneaking up on zombies would be more difficult. I get my kicks by meleeing zombies into the floor when they least expect it. Even if the radar were limited only to campers, I can foresee something like this only influencing more people to barricade and camp (which is boring for both parties) instead of keeping on the move.

Is it only on some maps or?

The winchester is placed on some maps in the same spot every round but on certain maps (such as biotec) have got random_weapon spawns and then you might find yourself a winchester.

I think there should be a "speed modus" or so, where the zombie is faster and has less health.

This would gonna make many more scary moments!

Of course the old gameplay should stay, but a little addition like this would be really nice! :)

stay in group and you will be ok even with keyboard or pan in your hands. Didn't L4D teached players to play as group, not like Rambo.
