Welcome to the Apocalypse like you've never seen it before. ZombieMod is a total conversion of the critically acclaimed Real-Time Strategy Company of Heroes franchise, taking you from the bloody shores and the dense hedgerows of Normandy to the modern day United States during the zombie apocalypse. Control three new factions, the Survivors, the Bandits and the Zombies in intense singleplayer and multiplayer action. ZombieMod contains many new features never before seen in the Company of Heroes series. Can you hold off the undead, or will the thirst for blood overwhelm you? You decide!

ZombieMod offers many new exciting features such as:

  • Three brand new factions, Survivors, Bandits and Zombies
  • Brand new setting
  • Two different doctrine systems
  • New resource system and teching systems
  • New game modes

Q: When can I play the mod?
A: Patience is a virtue. Even the developers do not know when the mod will be released. We will announce the release well before, so don't worry about that.

Q: What do I need to play?
A: In addition to the requirements for regular Company of Heroes, ZombieMod requires either Opposing Fronts or Tales of Valor and the latest patch to play.

Q: What if I like other mods too? Can I have more than one mod installed?
A: Of course, it's easy to have several mods for Company of Heroes ready to go.

Q: Can you add another faction to the game?
A: As of right now, we have no plans on adding additional factions to the mod.

Q: Can I use content from the mod in my mod?
A: With permission from the development team and only after the mod is released to the public.

Q: Sounds cool, is there any way I can help?
A: As of right now, we require dedicated MAPPERS, TEXTURERS, and 3D MODELLERS. Later on we will require translators and beta testers.

I am writing to you to give you a quick update on what's going on on my end of the world.

Let's start with the good news! First, I spend the last week working in Florida with Habitat for Humanity to help provide less fortunate people with housing. Through this trip I was able to impact at least 4 families directly and many more indirectly. It also provided me with some ideas for ZM maps, so we'll see how that plays out. Secondly, I am in the second half of my semester at university now, so I may have more opportunities to work on the mod soon!

Now, the bad news. While I was gone, several of my accounts, including Steam, were hacked and my identity was stolen. Fortunately, no money was stolen and no fraudulent charges were made with my credit card, but I do not have access to my Steam account. I have contacted Steam and filed a ticket, but I must be patient while they resolve it.

So, in the meantime, while I can't work on coding, I will work on tangentially related things, such as planning maps and making models.

why not make the minigun (which is already unrealistic hahaha but i like the idea) able to be put on a tripod, or something similiar, and perhaps when set-up give it a huge ammunition box nearby...

another small idea, perhaps if military support becomes available, you can call in an ammunition truck, giving more munitions income, and perhaps being able to drop weapons off, like the recently skinned/modeled modern weapons.

just an idea.... can't really think of anything else...

well, a minigun isnt unrealistic. theyre stock standard on several vehicles, such as the FA/18 hornet :p however, as an infantry weapon, they are a tad off... but, that is a good idea, and gives me an excuse to play around with team weapons :p

good point....

although it would be cool used as a heavymachine gun like in CoH

or maybe like you said, on a vehicle, especially a helicopters... are the VADS AA gun.

(which is the m113 carrier with the minigun on it)

So I was wondering, all these new high-tech guns. Who will use them? The national guard? Seems too much for normal survivors
