Welcome to the Apocalypse like you've never seen it before. ZombieMod is a total conversion of the critically acclaimed Real-Time Strategy Company of Heroes franchise, taking you from the bloody shores and the dense hedgerows of Normandy to the modern day United States during the zombie apocalypse. Control three new factions, the Survivors, the Bandits and the Zombies in intense singleplayer and multiplayer action. ZombieMod contains many new features never before seen in the Company of Heroes series. Can you hold off the undead, or will the thirst for blood overwhelm you? You decide!

ZombieMod offers many new exciting features such as:

  • Three brand new factions, Survivors, Bandits and Zombies
  • Brand new setting
  • Two different doctrine systems
  • New resource system and teching systems
  • New game modes

Q: When can I play the mod?
A: Patience is a virtue. Even the developers do not know when the mod will be released. We will announce the release well before, so don't worry about that.

Q: What do I need to play?
A: In addition to the requirements for regular Company of Heroes, ZombieMod requires either Opposing Fronts or Tales of Valor and the latest patch to play.

Q: What if I like other mods too? Can I have more than one mod installed?
A: Of course, it's easy to have several mods for Company of Heroes ready to go.

Q: Can you add another faction to the game?
A: As of right now, we have no plans on adding additional factions to the mod.

Q: Can I use content from the mod in my mod?
A: With permission from the development team and only after the mod is released to the public.

Q: Sounds cool, is there any way I can help?
A: As of right now, we require dedicated MAPPERS, TEXTURERS, and 3D MODELLERS. Later on we will require translators and beta testers.

Back in the USA

Hi fans!

I am happy to report that I have returned safely to the United States. I will need a little bit of time to adjust to jet lag, prepare for going back to school, and to enjoy my summer a little bit, but work on the mod will resume shortly!

While I was away, several internal redesigns, specifically of the Bandit and Zombie faction designs, were carried out. We are very excited to have these new concepts, as they will continue to make ZombieMod a unique Company of Heroes experience. While we will not reveal any details now, those details will trickle out as we decide to hype of the mod, and we promise they will excite.

In the meantime, please keep holding on for more details. We expect some internal testing to begin shortly, and with this done we can show off the mod a bit more.

The past week has been incredibly tough for me, but I feel the community deserves to know what is happening.

ZombieMod takes a unique approach on the Zombie Apocalypse by putting it in the perspective of a military commander, not a survivor. Since it is 2 years after the first infections, resistance on the east coast is organized, resulting in battles rather...

Time for a stupid question!

Is it possible to do a Survivors vs Bandits vs Zombies match at all? Or is it restricted to just two sides per game as in vanilla CoH?

Also, probably not going to happen, but I think it would be nifty to have a mode where you have the survivors against the bandits, but with the zombies as less a faction of their own, and more a (potentially very lethal) environmental hazard. The challenge of trying to defeat your opponent while the hordes of walking dead are trying to eat you both!

Unfortunately, it's beyond our capabilities to make a team 1 vs team 2 vs team 3 scenario like in SUPCOM. We might be able to have ambient zombies controlled by SCAR, but we will have to evaluate this in the future.

I'm very curious about how the zombie faction will counter vehicles since I suppose they aren't intelligent enough to aim a rocket launcher at them. Impressive amounts of models, skins, props and maps you've got here. :-)

There will be several methods, but I don't want to spoil anything before it is time. As a hint, think about the fact that you don't need to destroy a vehicle to disable it.

Hi guys,
Love the Survivors UN/Civil Defence/Military combination and the Bandits Mad-max style.
But I was just wondering about the Zombie Faction and if it will have more units than just zombies and what sort of goodies it will have

Without giving too much away, we want the Zombies to be the most customizable faction. We'll show off more as it develops, but the idea is to shape the faction as you play to counter your opponent.

Wolf.lasagna has answered most of your questions as well as I can, but I suppose adding my $.02 won't hurt. As of right now, we are unsure if it is possible and worth the effort to code an infection system. With our current team, it will require learning SCAR first, which will take some time. The zombies will be revealed as they are developed and as we decide that it is appropriate to share. A lot of the reason they haven't been worked on yet is because we want the balance between the Survivors and the Bandits to be perfect before we throw the most unique faction into the mix. No hero units, like vCoH, but there are call ins and a few buildable units that are certainly stronger than normal infantry. Our mod is integrated with Worldbuilder, so adding your own maps with our assets is a breeze.

As far as I know, here is what I can tell :

1- I heard something about that a few years ago, but for now, I can't tell if this can be done.
2- Idk
3- There will be "reward" units to call-in thanks to the International Crisis doctrine which come from several countries like France, UK, Australia, Russia, China etc...
4-There is already an editor integrated with the game in the game's directory : World Builder.
