ZombieMod takes a unique approach on the Zombie Apocalypse by putting it in the perspective of a military commander, not a survivor. Since it is 2 years after the first infections, resistance on the east coast is organized, resulting in battles rather than small groups fighting for survival.
I have finally gotten around to fixing the chainsaw, it now has some fixed model errors, has sound effects, blood splatter effect when firing, smoke effect from the exhaust, and most importantly, the left-over flame effect from the flamethrower is gone.
LOL! Construction workers gonna kill all them zombies! Excellent work!

How the??? I thought it would be nigh impossible to create a melee weapon/system in COH as it would be way too much work. Very impressive.

Yeah but I mean they will probably use the Grenade throw animation up close(the zombies), but how are you going to animate this baby? I really wonder. :D
The WW1 mod(forget the name, it looks awesome) has added in melee weapons that infantry switch to in close quarters(no bayonets, just clubs, etc). IDK how, but maybe that could be applied here, but ranged units should have bad melee.
The chainsaw uses the flamethrower animations, which fit surprisingly well. Zombies use the grenade throw animation because it looks like swiping. I will have to talk to the gents over at the WWI mod to see if they can educate me!
Yeah The Great War 1918 Mod uses grenade throw animation up close to simulate a melee attack. You can see this in their recent videos uploads.
