Zombie Master In Short
Zombie Master is a multiplayer Half-Life 2 modification, centred around a zombie-apocalypse, which throws all but one player in the shoes of human survivors. Pitched against a relentless tide of rotting flesh, they must scavenge for weaponry and equipment just to stay alive. But that one player, chosen randomly at the beginning of the round, is not bound by mortal restraints.
To speak his name is to invite the wrath of hell - but most call him the 'Zombie Master'. He is nigh omnipotent. His invisible hand controls the legions of undead like puppets on strings; slowly closing the net on the humans while they run to and fro like rats in a maze.
Features
Human team:
* A wide range of weapons to scavenge such as shotguns, molotov cocktails, rifles and more
* A number of challenging objectives that encourage players to team up and work together
* The ability to interact with the environment to build barricades and carry objects
Zombie Master:
* Real Time Strategy gameplay; create and command your own undead horde
* A wide variation of zombie units encourages the ZM to adopt complex tactics
* Environmental "manipulates" allow the ZM to interact with the world in devilish ways
* Mysterious powers let the ZM manifest his power in a more direct fashion... for a price

Zombie Master 1.2.1 has been released, fixing many of the more pressing bugs present in version 1.2.0 and tweaking game balance.
Summary of the changes in 1.2.1:
The new version is only available as a full installer download. You do not need any previous versions of the mod installed. If you're new to ZM, do make sure you own a Steam game that includes the Source SDK Base. Most Valve games like HL2, TF2 and L4D do include this, so if you own one you are ready to play.

Does anyone know how I can contact the creator or someone else contact him for me saying this "Maggot!!!!: Im making A zombie Half-Life 2 mod but one problem... How do I delete the headcrab npc's?"
i guess it's in the coding somewhere but the zombies might require them unless you redo the AI until then you can't remove them. note: the headcrabs is a separate model/AI
Would be cool if the zombie master team was controlled by more than 1 person to work together against the humans.
Thank you so much. Except one problem... (AGAIN!!!!!) I succccck at coding... Maybe ill figure it out. And I may need some help. Maybe ill create a website and get some helpers! For the models, Animations... All that crap!
Good thing there's a ZM2 in the mix.
was getting tired of the old weapons.
I'm beginning to wonder....since the latest update was 2 years ago.
Is this mod still in development?
Just go to the Zombie Master website, they explained it there :)
Good question.
The developers haven't posted any news or updates in quite a while (kind of a disappointment) but that's not too much to worry about.
Since the game is on STEAM now, it's become a little more popular and attracted a bit of the 'modder community', so even though the developers aren't posting anything new any more, new maps and such are coming out created by players all of the time.
It might not be top-notch like real developers could make... But you'll still get the new maps and modes you're looking for.
Angry lawyer YEARS ago made this game. At first totally pumped about this mod, blah blah blah, but the community friggen skyrocketed around it. Left 4 dead was announced, all the cool zombie games were almost here, so the community really "urged" faster and faster updates. Lawyer tried to jump ship a few times. Finally i think after patch 3.0? he finally took off.
Its a great game, Lawyer is my hero. But no he REALLY does not want to update this mod anymore.
They are however currently cranking out some updates on Zombie Master 2 which looks really promising. :D so check that out!
heh edit: totally off, it was patch 1.2.0 lol..
I played this allot, and really enjoyed myself...
