Zion Warcry v1.0 Steam Patch
Apr 23, 2008 Patch 2 commentsThis is the Steam Patch released by MConnard the last year. He's working on a new v2.0 patch, so wait a bit, be patient and a full v2.0 of Zion Warcry...
Time has come for more updates !!!, thanks to SysOp this MOD have arise from the ashes just to reborn more powerful than ever. Now Zion Warcry´s a matter of the ARES development team ( a new formed Group on Moddb ).
The project was closed the last year 2008 because of technical problems that couldn´t be fixed. The new enemies, maps, etc ,were all stopped in their development, just letting some of them being non discarded because of their quality.
zion Warcry will finally be released as soon as some of its bugs are fixed and the zion map is finished with all the look and action seen in the original Matrix movie.
Version 2.0 it´s WIP actually. The v.2.0 is more a 95% coding and 5% modelling and mapping. It will take a little to be finished but expect very impressive things!!! This video down here was made with elements of this last version but IT´s not made with the actual version, v2.0 has a lot more new things. ;)

Since year 2004 there were a lot of work involved in this project, unfortunately I have arrived at a dead end where I was not abele to continue. So I decided to put a end to this. Fortunately, SysOp, former leader of the ARES group ( Argentina-España Mod Development Group )has taken the project as a personal duty, and soon he will start again all with all his skills working at a 100% to make this MOD as it was intended to be.
Although my first intention was to publish the SDK of this MOD, I decided not to do it because there are a lot of work to do before releasing it, and, since now, and considering that all work coming from SysOp will be his work and the v2.0 will be copyright SysOp, because all work involved in the new NPCs, the Enemies AI, new hud elements, and the final cinematycs of the Zion Map will come from his brain...the v2.0 SDK could only be published if SysOp will do so, because it´s not entirely my work.
I don´t know if I´ll release the v1.0 SDK, aiway, I prefer to wait that v2.0 be released, then, let the gods decide.
Sorry for the waiting, and keep plugged.

Dead?
Hi, yeah, I think it´s almost dead. I had given all material for the v 2.0 to SysOp for him to make the new version, but I think he´s too busy now with their own projects, like Arrangement Mod and another ones (very cool mods just try all his work, he´s a genius :P ). I hope someday he´ll post news from Zion, but now I can say ZWC is a bit dead. :(
Looks nice for the first version , good job!
U should add some movement to the bullet chain when firing, and the sentinels should spawn inside the hole.
Actually, the chains move, because of the new APU model, which is not included in the v1.0 but will be on v2.0.
I don´t know if the next version could fix the sentinel´s spawning method, but expect anything... ;)
will there be a source version??
that would be real nice
Zion Warcry 2.0? When it's be done?
I´m still on it. I have recently finished the gunner model and I´m on the reloader, I must admit that I´m doing some changes in the skeleton and on the way it rigs to the mesh. Also the Zion doors are giving me some headaches, but I swear that v 2.0 will be done. The next step is the coding parts that have to be done before publishing the v 2.0. Fortunaltely, SysOp will do that because he´s a true expert in coding ( I´m not ; ) ).
Thanks for posting !! ( vote me !!, hehe ).
I´m still working on it. Ashamed for only being making bits of the few parts that remain undone, but, still working...
Thanks for your comment. ;)
