Absoloutely gorgeous. Beautiful work on the fachwerkhauser; looks very realistic. The one thing I dont like is that the cobblestones look a bit flat when transitioning to the area on the left; probably still a WIP though.

Yep, we'll fill that square up with yet another surprise. No more information given until it's done, probably two weeks from now... ;).

The leftmost building face looks strikingly 2 dimensional. Fantastic work otherwise,

Very nice, fantastic quality. One thing that bug me though is that every single window is open on the building to the right.

Hey,

thanks :). Yeah I wasn't thinking of that actually, I guess that's what happens when you're staring at the same scenery for too long!

This is the kind of mod that makes me consider *not* to comment, because I feel that it is impossible to really do the picture justice.

I have only one complaint:
It is not possible to work better than this!!
Other mappers will see this and pray for better skills, but Albatros is always going to be better!

wohl eher nicht:
"The market square of Stuttgart, Germany, as it looks in Zeitgeist's fictional 1934. "
"Der Markplatz von Stuttgart, Deutschland, wie es im fiktionalen 1924 von Zeitgeist aussieht."

Hey :)

No pun intended, but - could you please keep everything in English here?

Your question is pretty interesting, so it would be great if everybody else could follow what's written here.

Actually, the building to the left is the old "Rathaus", which burned down along with the four buildings on the right side in 1944.

Our update, which was posted along with the screenshot above, hasn't been authorized yet - there's a quick explanation in it.

The "old" market square and Rathaus / council hall:

... and the "modernized" building, although I'm a bit hesitant to call it a building, since it's a shapeless concrete mess really ;).

De.wikipedia.org

So you see, we've actually come pretty close to the original :).

looks fantastic, as allways!
what bothers me a little bit, is the integration of the rails with the street-surface. or perhaps i should say: the missing integration, to make my point clear. i think, they shoud be either recessed or hold by some kind of steelclamps. right now they look as beeing just dropped onto the cobblestones.

another one: inside the "modehaus" the cobblestone continues as floormaterial.

It just keeps getting better, the lighting needs some work though in my opinion.

The amount of detail here is unprecedented!

I like how the buildings details are actually models instead of painted on textures.

You also followed the style really well. Good job.
