So, we have lots of projects in the works. We have collaborated with some of the most talented minds in this community and all our coding projects have been solved theoretically. We are not approaching an implementation and testing phase, but we need some help from anyone out there who is XML savy. 
We know exactly what we need to have done, but we have a lot to do. If anyone out there is familiar with XML coding and is just sitting around, come join us. Any assistance helps us finish faster.

I think they will add specialized shipyards, like fighter
shipyards and capital shipyards and stuff.

While that would certainly make sense I do not believe that the game engine would be up to it. It may be addressed in the future and we could quite easily fine you for losing ships... :D
but it is not a top priority at the moment.

I know games like Rome: Total War (probably ant TW game) integrate this. Any soldiers that have been lost stay dead until you retrain the whole unit.

Maybe you could copy over some of that code?

I don't know much about coding though. But whatever you decide, I'm sure to have a great time playing it ;)

Neither do I! I know enough to code audio successfully, but little else. Do you know what coding language is used for the TotalWar franchise thing?

It is just a thought. How it would be to have rescue capsules and pilots in space when ships are destroyed.

This objects could be saved by Rescue frigates and give you a discount for the repair of the damaged fleet or if you build a new ship.
