So, we have lots of projects in the works. We have collaborated with some of the most talented minds in this community and all our coding projects have been solved theoretically. We are not approaching an implementation and testing phase, but we need some help from anyone out there who is XML savy.
We know exactly what we need to have done, but we have a lot to do. If anyone out there is familiar with XML coding and is just sitting around, come join us. Any assistance helps us finish faster.

The 3 playable factions are: Vong, Galactic Alliance, Hutt Empire.

We are attempting to create a very full and diverse galaxy...

Imperials were on the brink of extinction at this point in time.

No, not really, whilst they were confined to Bastion and it's surrounding systems, they had great success against the Yuuzhan Vong (Battle of Borosk) but not initially.

The only reason they had success at Borosk was due to the pre-deployed minefield. They won that battle due to superior battle tactics. The Imps were slaughtered at Bastion, and at Yaga Minor. Most the the Imperial fleet had been moth balled. I instead of large battle groups filled with star destroyers, the Imperials were reduced to small task forces if frigates and light cruisers. The larger ships were all being stripped down and were being used for spare parts to maintain the smaller ships.

The Imperial Remnant was lacking food, resources, and was becoming grossly overpopulated due to all the refugees who were fleeing the rest of the Galaxy and hoping that the Imperial propaganda was true, and that the great imperial nation was still just as powerful as it was in the says of the emperor. Sadly it was not. The imperials were only being kept alive by the tactical genius is Pellaeon.

The Imperial Remnant was indeed in a state of dismay, and the propaganda machine that they were running in order to gain support to take back the crumbling government of coruscant backfired when the Vong arrived. The only reason the Vong had not destroyed them earlier was because they were considered to be not a threat.

Well the opposite end of that argument is in the maps. Pre vong invasion remnant.

then the post YV war remnant.

The Remnant nearly doubled in size, and by the second galactic civil war it's Navy and Army had improved notably in quality. likely a result of the YV war.

IT would be nice to be able to play as the remnant due to it's unique situation in the war.

Read the novels.

We are staying true to the written story. The books describe the remnant as being overburdened, under resourced and living a propaganda lie.

The remnant at this point in time was very weak. They thrived after the war, because all those planets that added to their empire were destroyed worlds that the empire absorbed through rebuilding efforts.

Plus, until the collapse of coruscant, the GA forbid the remnant from expanding. They were forced to stay within their borders by galactic law due to their war crimes.

If you reread, look for the following:

Pellaeon states how he is frustrated with close minded petty squabbling of the remaining moffs.

Refugees who were seeking a "restore to order" after the chaotic collapse of the coruscant senate were fleeing in droves to the empire.

Most large imperial ships were scrapped for spare parts to maintain smaller vessels.

There were no large imperial fleets, only small patrol groups tasked with covering several sectors.

The imperials were able to survive for so long only because they had no other choice but to make an alliance with the Chiss. The imperials still had superior technology, but they lacked the resources. Also, do not forget that the imperials were under constant attack raids from the Vagaari .
