So, we have lots of projects in the works. We have collaborated with some of the most talented minds in this community and all our coding projects have been solved theoretically. We are not approaching an implementation and testing phase, but we need some help from anyone out there who is XML savy.
We know exactly what we need to have done, but we have a lot to do. If anyone out there is familiar with XML coding and is just sitting around, come join us. Any assistance helps us finish faster.

I'm curious, what good will the Imperials be in YVaW? At this point in time (25 - 29 ABY) the Imperial Remnant is confined to a small corner of the galaxy, so teritory isn't a plus. They may have all these cool, big SSD's, but they are lacking in resources and can't put many of them forward, so that's negated. They are being picked to death by the Yuuzhan Vong and the Vagaari, so why do I want to be drawn into a two-front war in that small sector? It can't be for the commanders, as the only reputable Imperial I can think of is Gilad Pellaeon. So tell me: Why should I want to bring the Imperial Remnant into my fold?

That's not good enough. I want a real reason, as to what tactical or strategic advantage the Imperial Remannt has that will make me want them.

The Empire was always a symbol of order (despite palpatines rule) the forces combined mixing their overpowered frigates and overpowered capital ships together always tended to add the best firepower and usually the most firepower to the battlefield. The best reason i can give is one name Gilad Pellaeon, he held the shattered empire together then reformed the Empires military despite being held at bay by the vong. The Empire has survived some of the most violent battles and are still a strong force and not one to be taken lightly. The remnant would add a little extra spice to the game, think about it, the vong are overwhelming you on every front (as the NR) and as soon as all hope seems lost, The Empire waltz in and mops the floor with their fleet with a few SSD's and a some ISD's and of course every ship known to be Imperial. to me there is plausible thought about the Empire during Vader's time being able to have easily eradicated the vong "threat". so strategically they would be highly valuable for their firepower, very disciplined training, very dangerous ships, and very dangerous land vehicles and troops trained for one thing, the eradication of all hostiles to Imperial order.

Then don't, if you don't consider the benefits of conquering the remnant worth the cost then just ignore them. I see no point in badgering the team for a justification for a hypothetical invasion in a game you have never played.

Repeating my question since "somebody" who shall not be named spammed up the chat. :p Anyway:
Will the Hutts be armed with some outdated Republic/CIS technology? Because it really seems like they don't have enough Modified Luxury Combat Vessels/Pirate technology to keep up with the Galactic Alliance and Yuuhzan Vong.

But I'm sure you have something special to surprise us with as usual. ;)

No, we will not be giving the Hutts any CIS/Republic units.

We have a full Hutt Core Defense Fleet thanks to Warb. I also have plans for a few special Hutt flagships that I will be creating. The Hutt empire will not be focused on direct assaults. The Hutts rely on subterfuge to achieve their goals. The Hutt Empire will also rely on manipulation of independent warlords and pirates and smugglers. Various worlds will have independent defense fleets, and with the galaxy crumbling around them, these worlds will be looking for salvation in the wake of the New Republic's collapse.

There are interesting plans indeed for the Hutts, they will not be just another Zann Consortium clone faction. For those that remember the novels, the Hutts had dealings with Kuat, Corellia, the Peace Brigade, and many others who did not support the suicidal defiance of the Vong.

The Hutt Empire promises peace for the galaxy... at least that is what "they" say...

More to be announced later...
