I asked Warb to make the Hapan Nova Battlecruier. I asked him to pay close attention to the wookipedia picture and especially the rounded hangers and wings. He delivers this gem in return.
Awesome job Warb, this is great.
I wanted to show Warb's work before I edit it. I will need to make a few edits just to ensure that the design is cohesive with other Vong Project units, such as some rotating turrets and maybe an antennae, but overall, it is a great model with very little changes needed.
Honestly not my preferred style of ship design, but yeah, it looks awesome.

i know its difficult to make rounded shaped ships.
But Warb know how to do it, looks pretty awesome.

I know Warb is a great modeler but this doesn´t mean we should deny him constructive criticism... after studying the render closely I have to suggest these 3 changes:
1)head-the head on sourcepic isn´t just different, it´s also less blocky, more dynamic and elegant which fits Hapans more imho;
2)hangars-it might be just the perspective but on the sourcepic the hangar entrance is significantly bigger;
3) smoothing shadows-I would consider retriangulating the area on the wings where they merge with the hull+there´s also kind of a weird shadow on its neck.
otherwise very nice and I´m eager to see it textured ;)

These are the edits I am currently making ;)
I am narrowing the front of the head and making the top slightly more domed, I am widening the hangers a little, I am extendinding the back slightly with some added "block" detail, adding little detail bits to the wings, replacing the turbolasers with turrets.
Should be ready by tomorrow.
Warb is outstanding at what he does, because we cannot forget, while he makes 1 model for us, he also makes models at the same time for about 6 other mods, works a full time job, and has a family of his own to take care of. The fact that he always remembers us and delivers a quality product every time is worth the praise we enjoy giving him.
And any good artist always appreciates a critique, as long as it is provided in a constructive, friendly helpful manner as Seregruth has just done.
The reason is a little diffrent is because I used the blueprints fron the essential guide to scale it. It differs a bit from this pic, hence the smaller hangarbay and blocky head.
The smoothing on the wing got messed up somehow and i hadn't noticed the error on the neck either. Thanks
Slightly....unrelated question. Will the Remnant's fighters have the Hunt ability or will all fighters- considering it's just the order to fly around and attack any enemy vessel. I ask because managing fighters is annoying when you are in a large battle.
It is very easy to add the ability in so unless the fighters have some very special abilities then they will most likely have the hunt ability as well.
On topic, another amazing model from Warb!!

I love it! The only recommended change I suggest is making the head of the ship a bit longer and more curvyish. Then the fan things on the side maybe a little thinner and pulled down some more. Other then that its bad ***.
Compared to the picture, the "fans" seem a bit large and the neck a bit thin/small, and short.
