Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
Able to destroy a planet's shield in a single blast, firing 500 proton torpedoes at once with a concentrated precision blast of 10 dual heavy turbolaser turrets.
The front surface was covered with thousands of sensors to detect the energy fluctuations of a planet's shields allowing the Sphere to focus its blast at the weakest spot.
12 hangars around the equator allow shuttles to land vast amounts of troops on the ground. To represent this, if a Torpedo Sphere is in orbit, it can build large platoons of infantry and light vehicles much faster than standard ground based factories.
When in combat, the Torpedo Sphere is armed with 10 dual heavy turbolasers positioned around its cone of torpedo tubes (will use a texture for this). The TS can fire devastating vollys of 10 proton torpedoes at enemy capital ships. The TS is equipped with 37 dual Imperial Turbolaser towers for defense against as well.

This ship is amazing! Im so glad you guys included it! :)
It shoots at planets and makes units, so it is a Star Forge + Death Star lovechild?
There's no kill like overkill.
When the Republic became the Empire, one the many things they did was remove the word "Overkill" from all dictionaries in the Galaxy. That's why they blew-up Alderaan, they had the last dictionaries with "overkill" in them. So the Empire doesn't know the meaning of the word! XD
That's why we got: dozens of SSD's, multiple weapons of mass detruction like: Death Stars, World Devastators, Sun Crusher, Centerpoint Station, Galaxy Gun, Eye of Palpatine, Ion Ring, Orbital nightcloak, Tarkin.
Ahh EU, you and your need of doomsday devices. Well to be fair most came from bad ones.
Actually, Centerpoint was just TAKEN by the imps. The constructing was done by the Ones, and the Killik hives.
I must say, the Empire sure does love their Death Star-esque stuff.
The empire likes balls...
Reminds me of this Youtube.com about 4 minutes in is the scene this remind me of.
More like Youtu.be
The Empire seems to always have the biggest weapons, i wonder if thats because most imperial leaders are trying to compensate for something?
I think it's safe to say an imperial military leaders ''other gun'' isn't bigger.
So it's more like a battering ram.
It still does and always will look like a gain Pokeball to me, thanks guys...! I don't know I could ever deploy this without shouting "GOTTA CATCH EM ALL!"
"can build large platoons of infantry and light vehicles"
So does this effect your offensive ground combat- ie allows you to 'rebuild' your invasion force?
Or is it a Space Map thing:
1- Builds troops anywhere (orbit of hostile world?)
2- Just faster build time for friendly world?
Wow! It's like a mini death star o_O
Its a great weapon, provided someone doesn't ram a super star destroyer into you.
really loving how u actually put the turbo laser towers looks really dope.
Looks amazing. Guessing the little spikey doodles are the the sensor arrays? If they are, the different shade of grey makes it look they are coded on to it, so is it possible they are destroyable?
i thought that they were the turbolasers
The turbolasers are around the central dish and along the north and south poles of it, as well as the equator. 2 different types though, Larger ones are on the dish and the smaller ones are on the poles and equator.
Correct, spikes are the sensors, they are not destroyable
It looks like Starkiller Base.
Correction:
Starkiller Base looks LIKE THIS.
(know your history...)
It's not canon so which one was first?
The torpedo sphere was a part of canon long before anything disney came into star wars. Decades iirc.
Forgive my ignorance, what is the big indent in the center for?
Proton torpedo launchers plus the heavy turbos, on the third image you can see the heavy turrets around the launchers
