Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
The Sullustian Fleet is all but complete, only 2 very important ships remain to be created:
The Anvil and the Forge
These are the true guardians of Sullust, the reason why Sullust felt confident to leave the New Repulic, and why no enemy had ever been heard of in Sullustian space...
They are coming, they are in progress... stay tuned...
you mind linking me where you got the information? I can't seem to find it on wookiepedia
It is not on wiki, but all will be explained in due time...
The Star Forge, perhaps?
Since all the canon has been thrown out the window anyway, those 4000 years in between need not interfere.
Not the star forge, but you are starting to think along the right path...
It is not anything from before the Civil War either
Fanon or related to a ship that happened to be drastically reduced in size from it's FPS appearance to it's RTS appearance.
The Anvil is complete fannon, my own creation, the Forge is a canon ship...
Arc Hammer perhaps? That's all I can think of, from the time period. But it was destroyed....
Arch Hammer was destroyed, it is not in our mod :)
I'm stumped. Well, it should be interesting.
Anyway, I'm a bit more curious to how Hero units will be implemented, as I'm sure you have that thought out.
But my advice, make them respawn. Having them die like in TR makes it unappealing to use them.
TR actually made gc really interesting imo with the hero/era system, when you killed the major hero the era advanced if I recall correctly, I thought it was very ingenious, if a little permanent (obviously)
The major ones such as Isaard and Thrawn, yes. That was great if one was playing as the NR or the EOH or PA, but pretty sucky for the IR.
But, personally, it made me not want to use Luke or Mara Jade because of childish attachment to the characters.
I hope the major heroes ARE permadeath, as it adds to the overall realism of the mod (in life, you don't get to respawn after you die).
We have a very interesting system worked out for heroes, as always, "you will be pleasantly surprised..."
on the other hand Star Destroyers and such ships have Escape pods... so just because a Ship gets Destroyed it doesn't mean that the heroe actually had died
and personaly i have one problem with Permadeath for heroes... i will never be able to Auto-Resolve even with a much stronger force because the heroe could be killed if i don't babysit him the whole time^^ just my opinion
Just use them right lol (Space hero wise, Ground heroes put on a VERY VERY FAR planet
my opinion about heroes in games Like... Battle for Middle-Earth or Empire at war is that permadeath would be realistic and also immersive... but on the other hand it can also lead to a smaller use of heroes as long as you can compensate the loss of a let's say a star destroyer, because you don't want to lose em... i think the only way to take the risk of loosing the heroe would be to make theire boni so high that a small fleet with them could pawn everything (exaggerated) a long respawn time forces you to use them wisely but also doesn't punish you for the rest of the game for a little bit of bad luck (e.g. getting the engines destroyed first before you were able to flee). While in a game would be a game where you could allways recruit a new heroe that could fullfill the same role (i don't know if such a game even exists^^) e.g. after your orc heroe urcah died you just recruit grobosh who has slightly different boni and abillities but overall fullfills the same purpose permadeath would be an interesting feature
*ment "to make the risk of loosing the heroe feel rewarding" and "as long as you can compensate not using the heroes vehicles in Space comabt (e.g. Star Destroyer) with non-heroe vehicles) couldn't edit it anymore cause the 5 minutes were up when i saw it
I still get a lot of use out of the heroes without losing them in battle and I definitely hate having to kill the AI heroes over and over again so I say if they die then they die.
On the ground it should definitely be if you die you don't regenerate but I guess in space they could escape the ship. I don't know if you could make the heroes originally appear with their ship but when they get destroyed the ship stays dead but the hero re-spawns like a minor hero who shows up on the strongest ship when you enter a battle. It also might be cool if they showed back up in the build bar and you could buy them with a new capital ship like how Ackbar went through several ships throughout his career.
and i prefer to kill enemy heroes over and over again over "one time bad luck and my heroe's gone"... i would never be able to auto a match because it happens just that often that the heroe dies no matter if i have 60 ISDs vs 20 Mon Cal Cruisers or 1 ISD and 5 Corvets VS 10 Corvets... not even talking about ground battles... and then for the ground heroe respawn... there's bacta... for me the explanation why the heroes that were "killed" in a ground battle could respawn was following: they didn't die but could escape badly injured... the time till they respawned was the time they were in the bacta
Big thing of death

Correct, it kills stuff... like, really big stuff, quite slowly... but it's not boring...
Yoda knows what the Forge is... He made it sound terrible...
did i read something about new sounds?? O_____O
Curious as to where you read it, since I haven't posted anything in a while, but yes, many new sounds...
Wait.... is it a world devastator?
No, it's a riddle.
Obviously it's time, that slowly eats away at everything.
Ah yes, the killer of all things.
Lol, funny, very soon we will have story time, and we will tell the tale of The Secret of Sullust, kharcov is working on it now ;)
Some riddle lol, meticulously worded in my clumsy grammar ;)
