New Republic - Class Star Destroyer
The mainline battleship of the New Republic forces.
Christened after the government it was designed to protect, the NRSD was armed to the teeth. Capable of destroying any class of ship under an Imp Star 2 with ease, the NRSD was only outclassed by the smaller, more armored and heavily armed (mega ions and heavy beam turret) Nebula Class.
The NRSD featured 20 ion cannons positioned in dual ion turrets, 2 heavy ion turrets, 4 heavy long range triple heavy turbos and a mix of Medium and heavy dual turbolasers along with light defense lasers mounted in Mon Calamari design gun blisters. The NRSD often served as a command ship providing a fleet commander bonus to nearby ships while the Nebula Class served as battlecarrier. Ventral hanger with 3 squadrons of fighters.

That thing is a beast of a ship, it will make a great addition to my anti vong fleet :D
I have to agree with Grand Admiral Thrawn.
I've noticed a trend, that as we go further into the model library, that ships get more and more turrets on them :D
nice ship, looks better than EJs original imo.
The ship had a frame that was only slightly larger than a MC80 yet had 3 times the heavy weapons. Due to the excessive amount of weapons, the NRSD undertook a much bulkier look almost overflowing with heavy turret weaponry. There simply was not enough room internally to hold the weapons like larger capital ships.
Quick breakdown:
Nebula has the most advanced weapons: Mega Ions, Mega dual beam turret, thickest armor, 5 squadrons, serving as battlecarrier.
Rejuvenator is fastest, strongest shields, 2nd strongest armor, advanced line of sight, proton torpedo launchers, 3 squadrons, serving as strike battlecruiser.
Proficient is 2nd fastest, strong sheilds, serving as support cruiser
NRSD is 2nd strongest armoed, most heavily armed, serves as main line battleship and command ship.
Be sure to put all the ship stats in the unit descriptions like I did in ORAW, or people will have no idea of what they're building, which is the mistake Alliance made.
That's a good shout G, but people will spend their entire Lives reading if we put all the details in... perhaps a summary and full details in a manual? This mod will probably need a manual...

Mentioning hardpoints, shield strenght, speed, garrison (squadrons it carries) and then to what ship class it does extra damage against hardly sounds like all the details, just the necessities for understanding what ship people're building. I always found it difficult to understand what a ship does in a mod with many ships of similar size, if you do it this way, people can instantly see what the ship does and how to use it.
I agree. I is really annoying when I play mod and I have no idea what I am building. Oooh a Giant Space Carrier!... um does it have any guns? Good idea to add just a little detail about the components of the ships.

Usually used as Heavy-alround-carrier-blockade-type-of-thing

Finally a Republic I will actually build. I never much cared for it because the Nebula was better looking and more powerful but this model looks awesome so I'll give it a try.

Shouldn't it be named "Republic - class Star Destroyer", instead of "New Republic - class" ? :)
I guess it's a fanon upgraded vesion of the normal republic class

I usually don't like mon calamari ships but this star destroyer mon calamari hybrid is quite nice I love the detail. jw do the turrets track targets im assuming but not sure.
