MC80B - Allegiant Class image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

Developed towards the end of the war through a collaboration between Kuat and Dac, the MC80B was created during a time when strong warships were needed to patrol the out sectors on their own, while main task forces were being sent to the front to battle the Vong.
The Allegiant is a combination of Kuati and Mon Calamari Technology. Featuring advanced sensors, the ship is equipped with a passive detection array for uncovering stealth units and an advanced sensor ping for exploring into the unknown. Armed with 2 ventral triple barrel heavy long range turbo lasers, 4 dual barrel heavy turbo laser turrets, and 10 dual barrel heavy beam laser turrets along with the usual assortment of medium and light turbo and ion housed within the gun blisters, this ship is well able to handle its own against most threats.
And just in case, it has power to shields and carries 8 fighter squadrons.

If Mon Cal and Kuat get together to make a ship, then its the best of both worlds, heavy armament, strong armor, and heavy shielding. Will there be more examples of collaboration between different shipyards to produce ships that include the best qualities of each companies?

Yea unfortunately they look freaking ugly compared to sexy Imp lines by far my favorite ship is the Pellaeon oh god the lines.. the form that my friend is pure death and sexy death at that lol. but Kuati and Mon cal getting together few thats some nasty stuff...
If its ugly looking its ugly but looks aren't worth a damn when the shooting starts although I do agree that the pellaeon looks downright awesome.

Nebulon B was developed by Kuat. The Allegiant will be buildable at kuat. Since Mon Cal ships were designed to fit Calamari biology, the Kuati using available resources in an urgent time of need, used existing nebulon b technology to house human crew quarters and hold the advanced sensor ping device.
It is wider than the nebulon b, but same element. The New Republic forces were strong supporters of modular design engineering.
The New Republic looks like it's done messing around.
My memory of the books are a little fuzzy on some details. when does this ship make it's appearance?
Was not mentioned in vong novels, but is mentioned on wiki.
see, it may just be me, but i think the Neb-B section might have worked better on a Dorsal mount, like a shark fin. it would still fit the Mon Cal design aesthetic, but would also add in a little aggressive styling that i feel has been lacking in the Mon Cal ships. but its probably too late for that one.
Tried it, it does look interesting, but doesn't really fit with other Mon cal designs.
One must remember that all the Mon cal designs eventually led to the scythe and sabertooth designs of legacy era.
