Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
During Operation Trinity, the Second Battle of Bilbringi, the MC80 Justice was reconfigured to serve as a communications ship for Wedge Antilles assault force. The battle was to be hard, and while Antilles was commanding from the the New Star Destroyer Mon Mothma, he needed a dedicated communications ship that was to be more reliable than the weaker frigates. The Justice was chosen for this role due to its strong hull and powerful shield generators while faster moving vessels such as the Olemp, Vortex Wind and Memory of Ithor flew flank with the Mon Mothma. After the Second Battle of Bilbringi and the Mon Mothma taking too much damage to continue on in the war, Wedge Antilles would transfer command to Justice, making it his Flag till the War's end.
Special Abilities:
- Deploy Fighters
- Redirect Firepower
- Auto Power to Shields at 20% sheild stregnth
Not the first MC80 to be called Justice
and also not the only ship called Justice in that Battle
Brilliant job. Lovely to see this Mod updating again
Correct, the first MC80 Justice was a Liberty type with an extended hangar lost to battle long before the Vong War.
Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor i believe it was
Serving as a Communications Ship, the Justice with its ability of ‘Redirect Firepower’ could command fleet attacks to concentrate on specific targets. The addition of AA laser banks allowedthe ship to remain without escort ships while the remainder of an attack force could charge ahead.
Question: tactically speaking, I have always found the "redirect firepower" ability rather useless. Most proficient RTS players utilize hotkeys and command groups, making this rather superfluous, or even a hindrance to use since I then need to go and re-direct the units I did not want attacking that particular target. Unless there is some added damage bonus to the targeted ship (and this could just be better served by weakening said target without re-commanding all my units), I don't really see the point of this ability. I have assumed that most of the community also held this opinion, and am curious as to what usefulness you see in it that I may have missed. - Neg
PS - It is really good to see you guys putting up some updates. ;) As always, keep up the excellent work!
“you will be pleasantly surprised...”
I wonder if giving the blisters on top of the stripes, the color of said stripes too wouldnt look better? Or perhaps a lighter color of it. Right now it looks like those blisters were put up as an afterthought.
Blisters were modular components, which could be added on or removed if desired, so for us, and the fact we have a lot more other work to do, this works just fine for our needs.
Remember, we are adding about 300 models to the game, so only so much time can be devoted to each one ;)
True, but still i think it would look better. It would also make more sense to keep the stripes as large and visible as possible, without interruptions.
Beautiful. Can’t wait to play this. I fear progress on making my mod will be delayed for a very long time while I stop to play yours!
Not bad man.
EDITED:
The Justice will no longer be featuring AA weapons, it will remain a standard mc80 but will have the new ability
