Imperial Leviathan image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
The 'catalyst" was indeed, an Imperial Leviathan...
A massive mobile ore processing refinery and shipyard factory, the Forge was the last remaining Imperial Leviathan in existence. Unlike the World Devastators, the Leviathan - Class Factory ship could not enter a planet's atmosphere. It was designed strictly for space, and therefore lacked the iconic furnace 'feet' of the Devastators. The Leviathan was designed to perform mining operations on small planetoids by using a powerful laser drill that was located at the tip of the bottom front ventral tower. The Leviathan would bore a large whole into the center of a large asteroid and allow smaller collection ships to perform the excavating of ore. The ore would be returned to the Leviatahn, processed and immediately be sent into production. The Leviathan featured two massive hangers behind the front tower, large enough to fit a Dauntless Cruiser in each hanger or half of a Liberator. The rear tower of the Leviathan featured auxiliary hangers for producing smaller corvettes and fighters. The Leviathan was strongly shielded and thick armored, but was only armed with light AA weapons.
The New Republic knew of the existence of the Forge. The Forge was hidden in a nearby asteroid belt which helped conceal it from the public. Due to the public outcry over the World Devastators and the New Republic's use of them at Da Soocha V, the New Republic would never again use the Leviathan for military purposes, except ship construction.
The Hutts however, would....
When playing the mod, the Hutt Empire will have the ability to capture Sullust. If the Hutt player does indeed capture Sullust and forms an alliance with them, the Forge becomes available for use. The Forge has 2 special abilities:
- the ability to produce ships instantly for a credit exchange
- firing the drill laser, which can only target SSD and worldships

Before the 'poly nazis' attack us, this ship is only 43286 triangles. This is less triangles than the Star Destroyers.
The only issue we might have is the height limitations of the space map, in which case, we will reduce the size of the ship slightly

What kind of units will it produce?
Sullustan? Hutt? Both? Maybe some imperial ones like the tie droid?
Just sullustan ships, preybirds, Brayl corvettes and other fighters, creating a larger vessel would take longer, and would not be realistic for a space battle and the short time
Will it also be useful in GC mode? Like reduce ship building time or increase income? Maybe it can build small ships in battles but larger ones in GC?
We can give it building cost reductions for all units for whatever world it is at, as well as allowing it to build sullustan ships at any planet it orbits
Is it possible to have it produce different faction's ships? As if the faction that controls it could "program" it to build Hutt, Bothan, Sullustan ships etc. and switch between these for a price (i.e. the cost of programming)? Maybe reduce building speed aswell, because of easy access to resources. Just my propositions, I really feel this creation should be something special.

Its official, once this is released I'm playing as the Hutts first. You guys have yet to disappoint and I anticipate the quality of this mod to only grow! Keep up the good work and I anxiously await the arrival of "The Anvil"!
Hmmm... I'm going to play as the Hutts Last I think?! Not because they're a bad faction, not by any means, but I want to use all the GC gadgets we've got planned and the best way to do that is with the NR, and then of course I must play as the Vong... I mean who wouldn't???... ;)
The Hutts have a few more 'big' surprises coming yet, Warb has made 2 more monsters and there is another from Kharcov.....
...and then there are the Mandalorians........

Imperial ships were designed out functionality.
The only reason warships were wedge shaped was to allow maximum forward firing archs while not sacrificing broadside firing archs

I wonder if the IL was how they managed to get the DS2 built so quickly. I figure that the DS2 was about 50% complete in 3 years (plus a year of set up) despite a much larger project in a much shorter span of time compared to DS1
Death Star I construction began under the fledgling Empire, but at that stage it was still being reformed from the Galactic Republic, so I imagine there would have been enough paperwork to cover Coruscant...

Don't you mean the other way around?
A Liberator in each or a half of a Dauntless?
Liberator is 600m and Dauntless is 1200m or am I missing something?

While our Liberator is 600 m, if is actually slightly wider than the Dauntless. It can be imagined that capital ships were made in the forward tower hangers, and the underwent final construction/assembly in the space between the two towers.
