What do you mean by "older"? There are plenty of Old Republic Dreadnaughts to choose from...?! ;)

We are not using any resources from the Alliance Mod.
There will be only 1 model of the Strident-class, but 3 different textures. There will be only 3 Strident-class ships buildable, each will be a different color.
Corellian Destroyer is shown in the picture, 4th down from the top.
That picture is oddly reminiscent of a Nebulon-B

A show of Imperial might would be nice,hopefully they will be able to match the Corellian and Mon cal fleets. (who am i kidding they will)
In theory the Empire's stuff should be the most powerful. After all the Empire lost to the Rebels because of its excessive bureaucracy and mismanagement, not because of weaker ships.
The Empire was not a manufacture of ships...
Corellian Ships were the fastest
Sullustian Ships had the strongest armor
Mon Calamari ships had the best shileds
Kuati Ships had the strongest firepower
Eriadian Ships were the most technically advanced
These are the principles we are following, the Empire was a consumer just as the New Republic, buying ships from manufacturers...
Sorta but the empire also had its own industrys slightly and major pulls on designing like the death star and all the ssds not really consumer products Imperial products until later years lol in part you are right but just like America atm we have in nation companys kind of get my point>? I know its slightly off.
What about Rendili StarDrive? (Dreadnought, Victory SD...etc)
Or Fondor or Sienar Fleet Systems? These are the minors, producing kind of jack-of-all-trades vessels?

A comparison would be Northrop Grumman or Lockheed Martin. They are industries that create defense products, but they sell almost exclusively to USA. The parallel would be Loronar and Sienar. Sure the empire had their designs, but the manufacturing was handled by companies. The Empire was just the governmental body.

Hope to see Imperator/Imperial-class Star Destroyer (especially Mark II or some modernized version of it), which were used in Imperial Remnant and in NR/GFFA (Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, or better known as Galactic Alliance) fleets... you know, the classical look of it ;)
Good point about the corporations, but how did you decide who was fastest, strongest, etc.? I understand each maker of ships needs to have some advantage over the others, but why these particular advantages? I don't think there are any books that compare different ship makers products side by side?
Little hints scattered throughout the literature. Any Corellian ship worth mentioning is always described as fast. CorSec is strongly anti-pirate, and one must figure that pirate craft have to have some speed. Mon Calamari are shields. There ships are described as having triple layer shielding- the reason why this smaller vessel can go 1-1 with a Star Destroyer. Eriadu and Sienar are many times described as being the best weapon makers. KDY built all the Empire's big ships. Executor was killed by a fighter, Star Destroyers were easily destroyed by rogue asteroids (empire strikes back, search for mfalcon in asteroid belt: 3 then 2 talk to Vader...), but these ships invoked fear in everyone because a single ship could destroy a planet. Obviously they made up for other shortcomings with superior fire power. Sullust is a tough world. Toxic air, lava and volcanoes everywhere, all people live underground, and the planet is often depicted to be near an asteroid belt. I doubt anything fragile would come out of an environment such as this, plus the Dauntless-class cruiser was always described as being very durable with heavy armor.
Well technically the deflector shields and what not somehow went down before the fighter crashed into the bridge somehow causing a cataclysm within the ship sending it into the deathstar....
Talking about little hints...will the Dauntless-class be in the mod?
