Description
This is a ship of death.
The Corellian Battlecruiser 880 was designed purely for battle. Stripped of all the non-necessities of combat, this warship is just armor, thrusters and guns. Featuring a wide array of weapons: 16 medium turbolaser turrets, 13 quad heavy turbolaser turrets, 2 heavy ion turrets, 3 heavy long range dual turbolasers, 3 medium long range dual turbolaser turrets and a hanger/repair facility.

I have an idea, if its stripped of everything but combat eqquipment maybe it has poor sensors/line of sight? Making it rely on other ships to see would be something we haven't seen before.

ship of death is underrated, bye bye yuuzhan vong, I take its shield strength is not very good though......
it will have standard shielding, but one must remember to always keep an eye on the turret size. If you compare this ship to the CD-710 and the CR-90 you can gauge how large it is. While mighty and impressive, this ship is still smaller than a Star Destroyer, and much smaller than some Vong vessels...
When the Corellian Fleet is complete, I will take a screen shot comparison.
does that mean it is weaker than a SD?
There are notable difference between the 2 ships. Tactics will play a large part in our mod, it will not just be a matter of which ship is bigger, but what combination of ships is needed. The Reaver has 2 heavy ion turrets. These cause massive damage to shields, and if shields are down, can immobilize a ship. The SD will have medium ions, but not heavy. The SD is bigger and has more weapons. The Reaver has longer range weapons, and while having a smaller profile we will be trying to compensate for this by making it have a bit larger health (to portray the "harder to hit factor"). The Reaver is faster, but a SD will have a tractor beam. SD will carry more fighters.
We will be trying to design the mod so that the focus will not be on just big ships, but actual groups of ships. If the player is using Corellian ships, they can expect speed. Kuati ships have heavy armor and stronger weapons, but they fire more slowly. Mon Calamari will have strongest shields, but not the heaviest weapons, and so forth.
A lot of this is still being planned and decided, but these are the ideas we are wishing to create.
btw, added 8 more medium dual turbos (16 instead of 8 now).... i just didn't feel as if it had enough guns... :)
