The Cratsch - Class Corvette
Finishing off the Bakuran Defense fleet is highly advanced corvette, named after the deadly predator of it's home planet. Very quick and agile, strong shields and an advanced sensor array gives the Cratsch Corvette excellent advantage of patrolling Bakuran borders. The Corvette was designed after noticing a design flaw with the Namana cruises. Namana cruisers were intended to be close support ships for the Bakuran destroyers, but after lack of funding from the New Republic, the fleet of Destroyers never came to be, leaving Bakuran space very vulnerable to the raiding Ssi-Ruuvi. The Namana provided ion support and missile salvos for the Destroyers, while the Destroyers actually provided the anti-fighter support for the cruisers. Due to the lack of Destroyers, the numerous Namana Cruisers proved to be quite vulnerable to fighter attacks. Out of this need, the Cratsch was born.
Armed with 2 light dual laser turret and 2 forward facing fixed medium turbolasers, the Cratsch provided figher protection by featuring 4 rapid AA blaster turrets and 6 point defense lasers mounted on the sides of the bow. For added punch, the Cratsch also features 2 forward fixed flank mounted proton torpedo launchers.
The ship was expensive, and could only be created if the proper organization funded the Bakurans, but with strong shields, torpedoes and a fast maneuvering speed, the Cratsch proved to be worth every credit.

The ship was originally made by Enpremi long ago, but i needed to make some adjustments to it to have it be the proper scale and fit in with the rest of the ships of the Bakuran Fleet.
I wanted to finish off the Bakuran fleet, because next on my list is texturing all of of the Ssi-Ruuvi...

I was just about to ask about the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium will there be any abilities revolving around entechment will the only be a non playable faction, and if so would it be a possibility that once you conquer the Ssi-ruuk star cluster, or just its capital Lwhekk, that you could create there ships and possibly ground forces. I just find the idea of having Ssi-ruuvi on ur side especially a ground squad would be so cool!!!

Unnecessarily are adding all of these turrets on the hull (top and bottom), almost every unit - in my opinion
All major weapons have moving turrets in this mod.
This ship is larger than the CR90. If the CR90 has 6 moving turrets, this ship (being larger) needs them as well.
Even the millennium falcon has 2 moving turrets ;)
Really dude the turrets are an integral defining part of this mod's look. If you go to other mods no visual turrets and they all blend together and get lost in the amalgamation of faff that is ModDB. But this mod, with it's ultra detail will stick with you.
your models are amazing! the corvette looks vaguely like a munificent star frigate, but looks amazing nonetheless. cant wait to see them in action!

This model looks very good and I am sure a lot of effort went into it. However I must say that I will be destroying Bakura as soon as possible now because this model reminds me of a june beetle, which are Satan bugs. So DEATH TO BAKURA!

Don't you fear that the number of turrets in this mod would cause lag ?
ORAW is a pretty beautiful and fun to play mod but the EAW engine is
taken to its limits by this kind of mod and the lag can get really annoying sometimes, don't know if it's just me or other people suffer from that but I'd just like to ask
Turrets do not cause lag.
We have tested this.
We have eliminated lag causing code.
Thanks, the lag is because of the amount of fighters that the game has to render and calculate.
In the next release the number of fighters will be reduced so if you have any lag it should disappear with the next version.
g : use freeze fix, it prevents lag
