Azalus MKII Dreadnought image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
Originally placed in production at Fondor with the intended purposes of supplementing the Fondor capital shipyards as a mobile construction bay, the barge was purchased outright by the Hutts after the Centerpoint disaster and a loss of faith in the NR protection promises occurred amongst the Fondorian government, which no doubt was influenced by the Besadii Hutt presence that currently lived on Fondor.
Rechristened the "Azalus MKII Project", efforts were conducted in secret to arm the barge and concert it from a mobile hanger bay to a warship. Aided by the fact that the armaments were supplied by the Hutts directly, conversion of the vessel into a warship happened at an incredible speed and the ship was quietly escorted and delivered to Hutt space during the midst of he confusion and chaos brought upon by advancing Vong forces.
The Azalus MKII is a massive star dreadnought, slightly longer than the Viscount yet still much shorter than the Executor-Class. Armed with a strong array of heavy turbolasers, missile launchers, and mass drivers, the vessel quickly transformed into leviathan of a warship. Stong armor, weak shields and slow speeds leave the ship for more defensive roles, while its massive ventral hanger bay area allow for massive deployment of fighter craft and passive repair of nearby capital ships.
The Azalus was envisioned by the Hutts as the centerpiece of their secretly developing fleet to spearhead an invasion into NR territory, but turned out to be their savor as it housed all of the ruling Kajidics after the Vong doublecross and destruction of Nal Hutta.

now you need to make a 50 kilometer ultra-maniac Viscount, to eat the current one, so that the NR have the biggest fish around....
So all weapons seem to be dorsal. Isn´t that a huge weakspot? Almost half of the ship is unprotectet?
Due to the limitations of the gaming engine, ssd size ships and worldships will be placed on the bottom most level of space combat height , with all peops and other ships being placed slightly above. So because of this, no ship in the game will ever be below it. We sacrificed the aesthetics of ventral weapons on SSD's so that more moving/rotating turrets can be placed on top for a more interactive combat experience.
The viscount, mediator, strident and Saurator are exceptions for they will fly at the middle plane of game height elevations

The last thing the Captain of the enemy ships hear before the Azalus destroys them. "Yoka to Bantha poodoo!"
Its an amazing concept but it just seems too much for the Hutts to actually legally purchase without NR interupption.
We need to accommodate to players of the Hutt faction. True canon states that the Hutts were defeated at 2.5 years of the 4 year war. This would be tech 3 for the mod. With the Vong assaulting with s variety of worldships and the NR owning about 7 types of SSD, we needed to provide an alternate storyline where the Hutts were able to succeed while NR lost. In a story arch where NR forces were continuously defeated and the government has collapsed, Fondor would be acting on its own. In this type of scenario, it would be rather easy to take a large construction ship and move it out of system while all attention was being focused on evacuation and Homeworld defense.
Awesome design! The last part of the backstory you've written for the dreadnought is interesting too. Any chance of a GC where this thing living or dying is a victory condition? (since it houses the Hutt leadership. You could do the same with Vong worldships)
