Restores cut mutants: Burer, Cat, Chimera, Izlom (a.k.a. Fracture), and Zombie (unarmed).

Forgotten Fiends

Restores the following cut mutants:

  • Burer
  • Cat
  • Chimera
  • Izlom (also known as Fracture)
  • Zombie (unarmed variety)

Restored mutants will appear in most maps except for the Swamps, Limansk, the Hospital, and Chernobyl NPP.

Please note that Burers and Chimeras behave differently than their Call of Pripyat counterparts, lacking certain attacks. This is due to differences in the game engine itself and cannot be changed by a standard mod.

So, I installed this mod over CS Complete (and other mods) w/ both your
upgradeable AK and Stash filler, with all the necessary changes made to ensure compatibility, and continued my game. I've gotten to Yantar, and now, whenever I try and complete the first objective there I get a CTD, first saying it couldn't find [fracture_normal], which I fixed, but then it crashed with another error relating to izlom_capture.ltx, of which I will post the error tomorrow. Do you know anything that might cause this?
EDIT: This is all immediately after loading a save, before it even enters the game world.

Not to dredge up an old comment, BUT... I have found in my modding experience that some of these files are being loaded once and only once when a new game begins.

The result is that although some changes APPEAR to work, often times you will find resilient effects later on with CTDs resulting from files that were never loaded when a new game was started.

I hate to say it, but maybe starting a new game will fix the issue.

Good luck!

Solved! The issue is that for some reason the config file is trying to read the Models\Capture folder at the wrong branch. I solved this (the dumb way) by copying the Models\Captures folder to the "Config" folder.

Usually "Models" sits at the top-level of GameData; for this to work I had to copy the Models to the Configs folder, and after that, it works.

Note I also had to edit the m_fracture.ltx file as well, to fix the missing fracture_strong reference.

Hopefully this helps!

Yeah, I fixed this a while back, and got everything to work fine. That's probably why I never replied or anything.

sorry for asking after you after you did this so long ago, but when installing this with the complete mod, what exactly do you do, and you don't need to start a new game do you? thanks
