The Engine.ucs file in the Chinese version is 1222 lines but my translated version is 7914.
The ship.ucs is missing some lines too.
If you want you can test my ai script. when i figure out the classdef bug i have.
Also if you want to make a list of the used ships that would be helpful. That includes the used correct ship folders. Been having problem with the classdef.
Some ships dont exist ingame but are in the mod folder ie vgr_lightcruiser, 1, 2, 3.
I have had the hig and vgr cpuresearch.lua working but not the cpubuild.lua due to the ship classdef.lua.
Well, there was still the news where she asked for remaining chinese characters. When that's finished, i'm afraid there isn't much i can do. Of course, i can open bigs and use the editor, but i know next to nothing about modding itself.
Still, i'm willing to help, just ask if i can do something. I've got vacation anyway from today on^^
By the way, the Vaygr got a light cruiser. Just built a few of them yesterday. I don't know if that's things folder got a different name, though.
i kinda have a problem with the 0.9 version. it seems that when i start a mach with me as the bottom/the third new race and an AI as Hig.Vgr. or the same race as me. it works. but if i try to use the two other races
IE: the factory or fairly empire or something. it just crashes to desktop (CTD)
so my question is.
does this fix the problem with the two races not playable?
and before anyone asks. yes i have Homeworld 2 1.1 working and i have no other mods installed at the moment

Now i'm completely confused. Is that file your previous 7000 line long translation or the fix for v.9? If it's the latter case, the last v9 fairy_queen uploaded is already working.
Now that's definitely weird. Did you install the v09 in the wrong folder or could it be a problem with your antivirus/firewall? I also tried the .805 before and i never had problems in that regard.
Aside from that, just delete everything from the yaodumod and try installing it again. Can't really think of any other solution.
Nice work on this release, just get that research scripting done, and exx.... this will be one of the top mods for sure, it is not even. Thanks a lot for your hard work on such a good game.

it seems to me that the AI in this mod. is a little bit harder and maby a little bit more "Spammy" ! oh and did i mention that the AI seems to be able to build the largest warships when i can only build frigates!
and please don't just discard my question with "you're just a bad player"
and another thing... the above question is regarding EASY! AI setting.
the way the AI works. i cant survive more than 10 minutes as "the Factory" race

Ever since I installed the latest version of this mod, other mods crash at random moments in game. mostly during saving but sometimes also randomly when playing. Any idea why this happens? Am i the only one with this problem?
Do you have all mods in the same homeworld2 folder?
Personally I have 9 homeworld2 folders with 1 mod in each. 1 hw2 folder is the original I never touch so that I can copy its contents to a new mod folder.
Doing this stops compatability issues like what you are having.
Really nice mod, now that i finally have it working.:D Shame Research takes years and the AI still spam >.< BUT still beautiful ships and very unique factions :)
yeah working on that but due to the complexity of mod and my personal 'free' time progress is slow. Currently doing a masters in CGI development at Uni. Im guess the 'factory' race will be not playable by the AI as there are too many variables.
Interesting mod, really love the ship design. Can't seem to get the game to start though. Keeps crashing on startup. Doesn't affect stock game or another mod I use. Installed to a clean install too.
When trying to run windowed it says "unable to find ui (animated) texture - (Data:Leveldata\multiplayer\ DefaultMapThumbnail.tga)"
Resolved, however the mod really has a weird translation as well as some odd design decisions (releasing cap ships from underneath?). Love the look of the ships though :D

The shortcut doesnt use the second big file. Can anyone tell me what the target line has to be to use the translation file?
I'll upload my locale .big file. As all the races work fine for me. I'll polish it up 1st.

The target command line to use in your shortcut, the -w 1920 -h 1080 is so that hw2 is in wide screen for me.

If you have downloaded the official moddb-version your command line has to contain this:
-mod yaoduMOD.big;yaoduMODen09.big
The one with the -locale Addon was just something for unofficial fixes some users posted.

Unrar it and just drop it into your Data folder within the homeworld directory you have the mod in.
on the commandline use :

That is what i translated. Everything bar 1 ioncannon frig name in English.
I've used Temeter's moddb command line and it worked, despite for that really weird ";" in the line.
Yaodu should put version numbers on the name of the *.big file as any other mod usually does.

There is no skirmish ai as yet. Im making cpu .lua files. Cant put the 'old' ai in since there are new additions to the races.
Do the defend modes instead of deathmatch, higara low orbit is the best one. You can complete with all races (i have) tho a struggle sometimes.
If your up for a challenge try the survival. With Factory i lasted till the vgr missile bs's.
