The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

For a while there the sniper team had two different infantry types, the spotter had the standard G10 assault rifle with a scope on it, his presence essentially doubled the actual sniper's firing rate. If one of the infantry died and you selected the now single sniper or spotter, they would say "My partner is dead!" in a panicked voice. I believe this was later reversed and the squad was made into two snipers with the full length firing rate.
Just saying, it has been done, but for some reason wasn't seen as fitting.

I wish more infantry squads had mixed roles. Good job.

I actually think I am going to switch all gdi/nod designs this way in some form or another as it makes since. This squad is very useful and has become my favorite go to unit when I need a defensive infantry unit for general purposes.

So the last version of the Mastermind was meant to be a sort of "super power on legs" where it had access to many different powers. In practice it hardly ever seemed to get used and was way too expensive to be really effective.

So, going back to the drawing board a bit we've now got these Mastermind Squads. While not as heavily armored as a Shock Trooper Squad these guys have 2 tricks up their sleeves. And by that I mean they now carry 2 different weapons in the squad.

The main guy carries a plasma disk launcher which has good range and is effective against vehicles and air units. However the other 3 have mono-filiment weapons that they use against anti-infantry. Doing it this way instead of the typical "every member of the unit has the same weapons" way of doing things in CNC actually works much better in practice.
