The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

The wall looks cool, but as with all walls, they must form a shape that encloses a base. That being said, old rigs may lag as you said, with multiple walls being needed and I'm assuming the towers are the weak points of the wall?(ei. kill the middle tower and the wall is defeated?) Unless the towers are also protected by the firewall, meaning the wall must be powered down to be vulnerable. I can only see this wall being used as anti-(engineer)-rush 1st tier lvl defense. This would be amazing if the towers were changeable anti-inf anti-vehicle or arty, to suit the commanders needs along with invulnerable besides needing power. I hope my thoughts are helpful :)

Well thats kind of why I started calling it a barricade instead of a wall. The idea isn't to surround your base (which honestly would be hard to do considering how the game likes to make all build radius's circular and not square) but to block off certain entrances to the base to make it harder for the enemy to move in. It does take a lot of power to run the wall.

At the moment the way the AI treats it is that infantry will fire at the base of the wall (you can see the small emitters at the bottom of the wall) to try and destroy it, as well as some vehicles. Other vehicles just try to drive through the wall which normally destroys the vehicle and turns that small section of the wall off for a few sections until it can power itself back up. Heavy vehicles at this time can actually bust through the wall but take heavy damage.

The towers are the end points and center point of the wall and just defensive points to help defend against infantry since infantry seems to be the walls biggest weakness at the moment.

XD My bad, I kinda went with the 'firewall' instead of barricade way of thought. It's a great buffer strategy, most useful for terrain & urban chokepoints.

Do the towers regenerate as well when they are destroyed? As in a section of the barricade that is targeted is temporarily down while the rest of the structure stays intact?

Can't wait to see what other concepts you're going to add-on! :D

The pillars have a sort of auto-repair mode they go into when they are destroyed. The gun from the pillar is destroyed and the pillars start drawing in more power as they try to repair themselves. This auto-repair process takes 30 seconds to go through, if the pillar is still standing after 30 seconds it will revert back into it's prior form with full health and weapons. If it is destroyed then there it go's. So you basically have to make sure it's dead before moving on, just destroying the main gun won't stop it from being a threat.

Description

So I have been working for 2 weeks on this 1 thing, this 1 simple GDI wall thing. I wasn't happy with any of the walls that I was coming up with, they all seemed to be either missing something or just not look right. The last version that I posted up is a good example, it was almost there but it just didn't look right.

Now look at this one. It actually forms into a wall shape, not a bunch of tubes that the old one did. The wall has a lot of sparks and special effects going on that cause it to have a very cool static look when in motion. Finally you get 3 of these high end anti-infantry watch towers that are easily seen but they still fit the roll.

Tell me what you guys think. My only concern now is that it may lag some systems, especially if there are a few of them up and running at the same time.
