The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

I just want to preface this by saying that I really like the mod; it has, among other things, renewed my interest in Gundam and planted the seed of an interest in Macross and RoboTech. That said, I have a few bits of feedback and ideas. I started a new thread because didn't want to necro post. 1. The EF's Defcon system: this is a very, very minor nitpick, but the Defcon system goes backwards in the mod. The real DEFCON system has DEFCON 5 as the lowest state of readiness and DEFCON 1 as the highest. According to Wikipedia, the highest DEFCON level that the US was DEFCON 2 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. 2. This is a slightly more extensive issue, but also more personal: Nod's "Schools of Ideology" seem to have little more significance than theme naming. Take, for example, the Loyalist School: Loyalists are trained from the Hand of Nod, Loyalist Buggies are built from the War Factory, and the Loyalists' EMP Control is deployed from the Operations Center. The other Schools have the same problem. I'm not really sure how to address this issue, but if you are retaining the Schools of Ideology in the "new" version of Nod, you might want to give some thought to giving each school an associated structure that serves as the "superweapon" for that school (e.g., a Loyalist School structure would give the EMP power, while the Assassin School structure would give the Nuclear strike) and would also give some sort of bonus to the associated unit (e.g., all units of that school are trained as veterans as long as the structure is on the map). 3. The Tenzan descriptions don't do a good job of explaining what the various Daughtress types do. What, for example, is the point of a Command Daughtress Tenzan or a Flight Daughtress Tenzan? |

I've used to leave other topics in the General Discussion just for 3D modelers. I've always just doing something and 1. Well, I do believe that the EF should have to stick with the Real Defcon System, instead of the new EF defcon 2. One thing for the Nod Ideology, this has the risk issues, it could more other than the Ideology schools like 3. I actually seen some Tenzan messed up description due to misplacing and forgetting to edit scripts somehow. Edited by: KiroXeiApex |

First I want to say thank you Quadhelix for not necro-posting and starting a new thread for your concerns. I prefer it as it's easier to notice a new thread for this kind of thing than an old one. As for the defcon system I used the one that I used because I wasn't sure at what point I was going to end. I didn't know if there was going to be 5 levels or 4, and I didn't want to have to go back later and change things. This will get changed sooner or later to the real way it works, it's just a matter of changing descriptions. The Nod Ideology that is currently in the game is just the beginning. The next version of NOD (or the real NOD if you will) will expand on this idea further and allow the player to choose which branch of the NOD house system they wish to focus on. Based on this it will modify some units to make them stronger or work in a different fashion. The 4 houses are going to be expanded even further into a more clear and concise form allowing a player to focus more on stealth, hit and run, direct confrontation, or trap based game play along with fleshing out the level of cybernetics that NOD uses in it's military forces. The Tenzan descriptions probably do need work. Descriptions are my bane. Considering that every unit and every structure and power and upgrade all link to the same file for their descriptions, it's a big file and it's easy to miss things. A simple "Hey, these units have the wrong descriptions" email or post will get my attention on them. Otherwise I don't notice because I'm so busy working on other aspects of the mod (modeling and coding you know). I will look at the Tenzans and see about rewording them to make them more clear. Thanks for playing the mod, I wish I could get it done faster but these things take time. :p |

Do you have a rough estimate on when the new version is going to be released? Alot of the present bugs are really annoying... lol |

a full list of present bugs would go a long way to help. I'm currently dealing with creating new bugs to squash lol. If I get back to work on this asap probably a few weeks, depending on what needs to be done. |

Yeah I think I can work up another list for you to revise... |
