I have found a way to use a Xbox Gamepad for LEGO Island 2. This will require AntimicroX which is a piece of software to allow you to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad.
There are two control setups. The LEGO Island 2 setup is the same controls setup on PlayStation version of LEGO Island 2 with the left joystick and D-Pad to move. The alternative setup has different button setup.
LEGO Island 2
A-Space-Throw Pizza
B-Shift-Talk
X-Alt-Jump
Y-Ctrl-Use Vehicle/Skateboard
RB-Camera Left
LB-Camera Right
RT-Zoom Out
LT-Zoom In
Start-Pause-Esc
Back-Change Lego-Enter
D-Pad-(Arrow Keys)-Move
Left Joystick-(Arrow Keys)-Move
Right Joystick-(Mouse)-Camera/Move Cursor
LEGO Island 2 (Alternative)
A-Shift-Talk
X-Ctrl-Use Vehicle/Skateboard
Y-Alt-Jump
RB-Zoom Out
LB-Zoom In
RT-Space-Throw Pizza/Drive Foward
LT-Alt-Drive Reverse
Start-Pause-Esc
Back-Change Lego-Enter
D-Pad-(Arrow Keys)-Move
Left Joystick-(Arrow Keys)-Move
Right Joystick-(Mouse)-Camera/Move Cursor
If your running the game in compatibility mode or as a administrator you may need to run AntimicroX under compatibility mode or as a administrator. To disable the Xbox 360 popup window when you press the Xbox Guide Button press the Windows Key + R and type msconfig. Then go to Startup and right click on XboxStat.exe and disable it.
To run the AntimicroX profile when the game launches make sure the auto profile is linked to the LEGO Island 2.exe.
