X32I Redemption is a space simulator heavily inspired by Freespace 2 creators Volition, inc. This will be taking the best of the Freepsace 2 and the best of the Cryengine 2 while adding our own stuff in to make it the ultimate space sim.

There probably wont be any flying into planets, but if that WAS to happen we'd just make the player suffer damage from atmosphere re-entry.

would be cool to be able to fly into some planets, maybe do like in Mass Effect, fly near a planet then "teleport" and show a lil movie of how the ship lands?

If there was a use for that we would, but the game is a space sim ala freespace 2, there is no landing except on cruisers.

Please say that we'll be able to manually land and take off. I think that would be so freaking cool, launching out of a cruiser, doing the mission, then bringing my ship back to the hanger
