You are Carl Vandegger, a retired elite time Commando serving the US Military in the year 2093. While you are young, you have done your time and set aside the risks of dangerous missions and delpoyment.Your sitting at your desk one day, filing some of that darn paperwork, when your suddenly thrown up against the wall as your room is torn apart in front of your eyes. You collapse just in time to see your desk flying at you.

You awake two months later, staring up at a stark, white, ceiling. General McDowell walks in, salutes, then speaks. "Carl, somethings gone wrong, and frankly, your damn lucky to be alive. Germany has launched an all out assault on the worlds major countries, including the US. They are using a superbomb that has the destructive capabilites of an H-Bomb, but leaves no radiation trails whatsoever. We need you back in active duty asap. Your the best at this type of stuff, and you know it. I was damn sorry to see you take that desk job. We've actually pinpointed the general area where the weapon may be launching from, but their radar screenings are damn tough. We've considered nukes, but we've been there before, and we don't want WW3 all over again. Our scientists have done some research work, and it appears that their was a mention of a "secret weapon so large it could destroy the Earth, safely" in some of Hitler's person journals. We want you to head back to 1944, find that sucker before it's even barely started, and take it down. The time to strike is now, as there are armies all over the world fighting the invading German forces for their freedom...and losing. You have two days son. We need your guns in action."
