This development is now using the CryENGINE® 3, as we have decided to say goodbye to the source engine (sorry, folks at Valve). We are technically an "Indie" now, while we do not have an IndieDB page yet, please standby for further updates as we are now gathering materials to showcase for our new project which is Bronze Age themed. Expect interactive settlements and a bit of roleplaying, as this will be a "sandbox-combat-simulator."

Well this is all exercising, there hasn't really been any real map planning yet.

More detail will go into further endeavors once we have all the proper models and textures, this is all very new.

I mean we're giving a preview while we gather our resources to keep you inspired.

But yes, this map is very wide open, but so are landscapes themselves.

agree'd that landscapes are wide open. but i suggest you look at some other similar themed mods to get an idea of how your maps would be better for gameplay and optimization for preformance. i suggest you check you kingdoms collide, pvkii , mastersword:continued - look at the map thornlands its a good example of how to make a map seem like its large while still optimizing. there's probably more. but thats all i got off the top of my head. other than that, you have the ability to produce some nice work i can see it from what you have been showing.

Well to be more clear, this is not how any of our playable maps will look or feel. It was more or less just an exercise for our mapper, Dementei, but also so we could show case some of our models. At any rate, the maps we plan for the future will most likely have more displacement variability, and the landscapes themselves will be smaller so-to-speak; meaning that the landscapes themselves will be mostly forest, with a clearing for the settlement and actual playable area... of course we will be sure to feature coastal levels with grassy dunes, river banks, and bogs and marshes, etc.
