It is a beast lol.
Currently the mother ship starts with 6 Deffence drones, this can be upgraded 6x times, each times 6 drones ( will present the bulk of it's fire power also act as an meat shield ) they respawn just like the angry mob members, with the exception, once upgraded, it will stay such way.
Also experimenting with the main beam weapon for the mothership, that needs some extra work for sure.
External hull upgrade works properly, you can destroy it, with it expose the core ship to higher ammunt of damage.
The models still under editing, currently adding special production and laser bones to it.
Next time you'll see the harvester ship which will responsible for income, also an special upgrade that allows the MS to produce cash ( hacking ) if doing that, no unite production and similiar activities.

It is a fling base after all XD
But it's not invincible, granted you will need tons of AA weaponry of all kind and you just need to focuse fire it down.. Half of your army keep killing the "creeps" around it ( deffence drones ) other half focus fire at the hull.
Once you melt away the external shell the base ship be easie.

It's large, yes yes, kinda an overkill, but not invincible. Non less could give back a feeling you got in the Independence day movie, where those fighters attack the mothership ;)
