World in War: Vietnam is an ambitious mod project that brings the Vietnam War to Men of War. You will follow the stories of 6 American infantrymen, from State-side bootcamp to the horrors of jungle warfare during the Tet Offensive.

WiW: Vietnam will include an expansive singleplayer/co-op campaign in a variety of environments, from bootcamp in the southern United States to jungle fighting with the Viet Cong to the brutal urban fighting in Hue against the North Vietnamese Army. Players will have access to dozens of different weapons and vehicles to use during these campaigns, from M16s and M79 Bloopers to M41 and M48 battle tanks. It'll be up to you to root out communist guerillas from their network of hidden trails and tunnels, fight off wave after wave of attacks to protect your encircled firebase, go mouseholing '60s style through the streets and alleys of Hue, and finally get the hell out of dodge during the American withdrawl.

Along with the main storyline campaign, we will introduce fully-functional multiplayer features that will allow you to test your mettle against other players in traditional game modes like Assault Zones.

Lastly, we're cooking up even more surprises that have already been hinted at, and that we're sure you'll enjoy, so buckle up and get ready to smell the napalm!

AFAQ (Annoying Frequently Asked Questions)
1) When will this be done?
When its done.
2) Will there be a beta?
If we deem it necessary.
3) Will it be for Assault Squad?
No.
4) Will it be for MoW:V?
No.
5) Why are you so mean?
But we aren't mean! That's just showing love.

Ladies and gentlemen,

For 3 years, our project has been nominated for Mod of The Year on Moddb. And for the 3rd year in a row, thanks to you, our fans, we have been voted into Top 100 Mods, taking our place in the top 3 mods for the GEM engine based games (Men of War, Mow:Assault Squad). That is not a small thing, given that our mod had been active here for only 3 years. That is why I, on behalf of my teammates and myself, give out a huge thank you to you, our fans. You have given us your moral (and not only moral) support.

Slowly but certainly, the project is coming towards its logical finale. There is still a mountain of work that needs to be done, also a great numbers of things that probably need to be redone.

However.

It is my pleasure to announce that all of our current work is directed into putting out a demo version of the project, which will (hopefully) serve as our way of saying thanks for your support.

While we are doing that, you can vote again for our project and our neighboring Battle of Empires project. Your votes will make us most glad.

Meanwhile, let us review the most interesting screenies of 2013.

Hell, when this comes out, I gotta drop Fortunate Son back onto my iPhone :p but seriously, this is a map makers wet dream. I haven't played in ages so I don't know if MoW has a map editor, but if it does, I think I'll be perfectly happy spending my summer holidays all alone at home, chuckling at those who go to places like the beach.... *psh* who needs the beach and hot girls when you have this masterpiece that could easily be released as a standalone game. The mod is looking awesome!

MoW has one of the easiest to use (if not THE easiest to use) 3d game map editor ever!!! I can already forsee the countless ice ages ill sit at the map editor doing all kinds of ****, and mostly, LOST PATROL! I mean seriously, who wouldnt love lost patrol? And then imagine that, just with MOW!!! Go around the large jungle map with dynamic vc and nva patrols attacking every now and then, question village elders if they saw any signs of vc activity, go hunting around in the tunnels for rats and vc, collect rice and what not to keep your guys rested enough and resting at all! I mean, **** IM SO GONNA TRY MAKING SUCH MAP AS SOON AS THIS COMES OUT!!! (and i hope this comes out soon enough because for whatever reason there is I got that slight feeling that they are nearly finished with this)

I'm gonna get crucified for this but I haven't watched Lost Patrol *covers face and waits for the coming beating*. I'm extremely familiar with the editor, just in Assault Squad. I have the original MoW but I didn't know it had an editor. I made all these sweet Pacific-based campaigns in Wake Island and such, all ready to be uploaded to Moddb.... aaaaannnnd my hard drive gets fried and my laptop is now in repairs :( Regardless, this mod has more than enough potential to be the technologically manifested messiah. I can't wait to create a 1500x1500 map or something of the sorts, filled with so much stuff it'd take a lifetime to build and finish playing. But, life well spent!

So will we only be commanding the 6 main characters or will there be certain missions where it goes so tits up we'll actually be getting reinforcements of some sorts?
