All units look at Lenin's Tomb (which is to the left), except the leftmost row. They look forward and keep the formation going forward. :)
Sorry for my ignorance but is today a special day in Russian history or this this just a show of WiW teams amazing modeling power?
Edit: Is it when Germany fell to the USSR? If so then that is a noble victory indeed :)

Victory parade on 9th of May has been carried out every year since 1946 (in 1945 Victory parade was in June because on 9th of May there were still battles going on in Europe despite the fact that Germany had already surrendered). These images are representing victory parade in 50-60-ies, that's why there are t-55, btr-50 and soldiers carry AK assault rifles.
i didn't see the other images 'til later. hence my above comment.
i really do hope that the models we see here in these images aren't just for celebrating May 9 but for a modern mod as well from the wiw team! :-)
Will you the map come with the full release too, or is it just for show.
