Before people start down voting him, he's kind of right. I think he even admitted that what he did wasn't always the best, but he gave everything he had to see his country free, and he achieved that goal, even if it was wrong. Still, a good commander and a man who persevered. May he rest in peace.

He was a ******* Murderer who assassinated members of other parties than the communist one, sacrificed tens of thousands and brought his country under a communist dictatorship. Westmoorland was right about him. And a Commander like Giap in the west would have been fired after one month.

Even though I'm an American and I'm pro-U.S. military; May General Giap rest in peace, he lived a long and prosperous life and managed to repel two forces within 20 years of each other. He was a worthy adversary and I respect him.
