World in War: Vietnam is an ambitious mod project that brings the Vietnam War to Men of War. You will follow the stories of 6 American infantrymen, from State-side bootcamp to the horrors of jungle warfare during the Tet Offensive.

WiW: Vietnam will include an expansive singleplayer/co-op campaign in a variety of environments, from bootcamp in the southern United States to jungle fighting with the Viet Cong to the brutal urban fighting in Hue against the North Vietnamese Army. Players will have access to dozens of different weapons and vehicles to use during these campaigns, from M16s and M79 Bloopers to M41 and M48 battle tanks. It'll be up to you to root out communist guerillas from their network of hidden trails and tunnels, fight off wave after wave of attacks to protect your encircled firebase, go mouseholing '60s style through the streets and alleys of Hue, and finally get the hell out of dodge during the American withdrawl.

Along with the main storyline campaign, we will introduce fully-functional multiplayer features that will allow you to test your mettle against other players in traditional game modes like Assault Zones.

Lastly, we're cooking up even more surprises that have already been hinted at, and that we're sure you'll enjoy, so buckle up and get ready to smell the napalm!

Ladies and gentlemen,

For 3 years, our project has been nominated for Mod of The Year on Moddb. And for the 3rd year in a row, thanks to you, our fans, we have been voted into Top 100 Mods, taking our place in the top 3 mods for the GEM engine based games (Men of War, Mow:Assault Squad).That is not a small thing, given that our mod had been active here for only 3 years.That is why I, on behalf of my teammates and myself, give out a huge thank you to you, our fans. You have given us your moral (and not only moral) support.

Slowly but certainly, the project is coming towards its logical finale. There is still a mountain of work that needs to be done, also a great numbers of things that probably need to be redone.

However.

It is my pleasure to announce that all of our current work is directed into putting out a demo version of the project, which will (hopefully) serve as our way of saying thanks for your support.

While we are doing that, you can vote again for our project and our neighboring Battle of Empires project. Your votes will make us most glad.
