We are moving Development over to for the purpose of
better organization , to join the project and the new development site (which is
mandatory) create a account on DC and then pm me with your username so I can add you to the project. To all new recruits we are working on adding you guys to our site.

The current plan for fixing that is to just split up the height map. No doubt that's what MERP would have done too if it wasn't for the C&D.

As for wanting to help out it's not that difficult to learn modding:P Although it might be time consuming:(

So you'll just have multiple maps that can be accessed through entering a "new area" much like taking the ship to Solstheim?

Based on what I know the heightmaps would likely use geographic and man made locations like the wall, rivers, seas, mountains, the bloody gate, etc. to separate them.

Basically it will hopefully be as seamless as possible. I also suggested that someone could try to figure out how to preload nearby locations into RAM to reduce loading times. But since I'm not a programmer I'm probably just saying stuff that may not be possible with Skyrim:(

Easy way of fixing that would be to reinstall Skyrim:P Best way of fixing that would be to look if you missed something. Also did you completely remove the modded folder before you pasted your original folder?

Also someone should figure out how to make WiC work well with Mod Organizer. It probably would work instantly without any additional work but I hadn't tested it yet. Basically Mod Organizer copies all the files of a mod into the main Skryim data folder upon launch and then after the game is closed it removes them. That's probably not exactly what happens but from my experience that is the closest explanation I have for it working like it does.

Please note that I am not directly a part of this project and that I am not contributing to the writing portion of the team at all.

That being said my understanding is that first Westeros has to be made and then quests will be added. Of course since it's being made region by region I would expect it to be similar to what MERP was doing where there were going to be quests for each of the regions but from what I remember those quests that would have been made for each of MERP's regions were simply meant to give some background to that specific region. That way the main quests would only start once the entire project was completed and thus nothing would have been spoiled and would still give players a reason to go to regions that they had already seen completed in earlier versions.

As for the timeline of WiC I think that it's starting at about the same time as the timeline in the books and if they go with a similar system to what I just described then the player *might* have the pleasure of playing through Robert's Rebellion. I used * around might because the chances for that are very slim due to the time between that event and the beginning of A Game of Thrones and the fact that it's a pretty major event and would require a tonne of time to implement well.

Anyways like I said take it with a bucket of salt since I'm not at all affiliated with the writers. Legate or Jed could give a better answer than me on this topic.

Also have a question, will you be changing "magic" at all? IE: Will we have pretty much non-existant super rare like in GoT, or will it be vanilla magic or different somehow etc
