Modern Warfare Mod brings World in Conflict from the Cold War into the Modern Age. It also ups the ante on realism and authenticity in every role – Infantry, Armor, Support and Air, while trying our best to keep everything relatively balanced for fun and interesting gameplay.
First test of a FLINT Homing Shooter projectile developed for World in Conflict.
The first FLINT missile is the AIM-9X Sidewinder.
It is still a work in progress and some issues still remain (i.e. graphic driver frame sync issues causing wobbling effects), however it now presents a breakthrough in missile guidance and projectile simulation for WiC.
Holy hell this looks awesome, can't wait to see it in-game.
A great progress!Gameplay will become more realistic!I can`t wait any longer!
I love the use of radio calls from FC2. I think however that the Super Cobra should have only 2 Sidewinders (like in reality) and have to come back to the FARP to reload, just to keep things balanced.
It's a development test video, therefore, there is no reload time. Otherwise I would have to take 9 hours to make the video :)
And no, radio calls from FC2 is not used in game. It's only put into the video.
If you ask me the mod should have some newer sounding radio calls, the ones that they use in the game sound too plain and it doesn't even sound like their on a radio...
I believe that they should be updated in the future.
I agree :) We're putting out some volunteer requests for voice acts.
I would be willing to assist you guys if you need some help with that... I can't do much else right now anyways.
Will the AH-1W model be replaced with an AH-1Z model or are you gonna leave it as it is?
We have plans to upgrade it to AH-1Z but not for 2.0 final release. Probably some time after.
Caution: multiple Hinds were harmed in this video
I really like what you all did with the sidewinder and now I can feel good about taking out those hinds. btw what was the name of that first song?
The first song is Buck Rogers by Feeder (from Behind Enemy Lines movie). We'll do another video with just that music.
amazing.
Will it still have the icon? I never really liked that about the cruise missiles.
The unit icon will probably get removed on the final release. Right now, due to the development work under way, we absolutely have to have the icons -- otherwise it will be impossible for us to debug the missile guidance logic and propulsion flight path.
Whoever made this video has epic music taste.
is that a compliment or a cynical trash remark?
Compliment, I love Feeder ha! Seen them twice live..
