Hiya MW Dev Team,

Just had another peruse online and through the forums. I was looking for a guide to adding a new unit, with its own 3d model, to World in Conflict. However I have found no such guide, or even basic steps to gauge what is is required.

If one were to have a 3d model with textures and all, what would be the steps taken to implement in WiC. Would it be harder or easier to have it overwrite and existing model, or is relatively smooth to add it as a separate new unit for purchase in-game?

It should be pretty straight forward.

You need to first export the 3d model file into COLLADA file (.dae extension) -- this can be done with 3ds Max pretty easily. If you use Lightwave instead of 3ds Max, you can export .lwo instead.

Go to ShowboxN.exe and open the Collada file. Select Stand (STND) in the opening menu and it will either load your mesh or crash. If it doesn't crash, the toughest part is done! We can then pick up this discussion from there! :)

Move both of these files into python folder on your WiC installation.

Note that anhCheats installation is ONLY required if you do not play MW Mod (vanilla or other mods). If you are playing MW Mod, anhCheats comes included with the mod itself and installation is unnecessary.

Hiya Blahdy,

The main issue I am facing is that I cannot get any of the modkit working as it keeps asking for the update (above screenshot) to 1.011, I can find no version which is up to this point or a patch to update the modkit itself (only the map editor).

How exactly did you get your version working?

blahdy, i don't understamd where i have to put this files, because i put them into WIC main folder, but it doesn't work, mabye if you can explain what i have to it's better, because i'm a bit dumb in this things.

And one other thing...How can i activate this in game?

Because when i'm in game and I write on the command console the command to activate the anhCheats, it says something like "py failed import anhCheats" and now i don't know what i have to do.

It seems like you have the massgate.org patch installed on your modkit wic -- or you've installed the mod kit after you've patched your game for Massgate.org.

Massgate.org multiplayer patch is NOT compatible with mod kit at the moment-- you should also open a thread on Massgate Reddit as well, as I believe Nukem is working on a patch. Reddit.com

Basically in the meantime, until Massgate.org dll is compatible with modkit, you need to revert the dbghelp.dll in the modkit to the original file.

What do you mean with python folder, because i know that python is a programming language, but i don't get the python folder...Can you help me??
