Modern Warfare Mod brings World in Conflict from the Cold War into the Modern Age. It also ups the ante on realism and authenticity in every role – Infantry, Armor, Support and Air, while trying our best to keep everything relatively balanced for fun and interesting gameplay.

Note:
Thanks to Cule_R_uliT for helping us debug this issue.

If your game is crashing with the mod running, exactly or after your units spawn, read carefully below.

Synopsis:
Game crashes with the mod running when units spawn on the map.

Cause:
In some people's World in Conflict installation, a "unittyypes_wic.loc" localisation file is present inside "units" folder in their game installation directory (where wic.exe is located).

unittypes_wic.loc should normally be present inside the game's compressed .SDF data files, and in general should not be in an extracted form inside an existing installation. This causes the file to override MW Mod's unit localization settings, causing game crashes while the mod is running.

Solution:
Search for unittypes_wic.loc file inside your World in Conflict installation directory where wic.exe is located. Usually it will be inside the 'units' folder. Rename the file to something else -- i.e. "unittypes_wic.disabled.loc". Game will no longer crash with the mod running.

Like above users, the unittypes_wic.loc file was not in my main WIC directory, however I was able to fix this problem by applying the 4GB Patch to my wic.exe, which means the problem must be connected to a memory leak or shortage. Hope this helps anyone who runs across this issue in the future.

The 4GB Patch can be found through a quick Google search.
