How do I download the mod?

Download instructions can be found on the Modern Warfare Mod 3.5 Release article here on the moddb page, or alternatively you can use the 'Downloads' tab.

At both, just choose the installer if you're on Windows Vista or Windows 7, or alternatively if you know what you're doing or are having issues you can manually install. Manual install will also allow you to install the mod on Windows XP, however this OS is not supported by us.

Then, optionally, download the mod maps.

How do I install the mod?

Just run the installer and follow the instructions.

Make SURE you're game is at version 1.0.1.1 or else the mod will not work.

Note that the installer only supports Windows 7 and Windows XP.

When I start up WiC it crashes! What do I do?

To fix this problem, you need to delete your savegames.

If you are using Windows Vista or 7, you can find these at: "C:\Users\**YourNameHere**\Documents\World in Conflict\Savegames"

If you are using Windows XP, you can find these at:
"C:\Documents and Settings\**YourNameHere**\Documents\World in Conflict\Savegames"

When I setup a game in the mod it crashes! What do I do?

There are 2 things that will cause this problem:

• Your game is not patched to 1.0.1.1
• You are trying to use "few player mode", which is not supported

How do I patch my WiC to the latest version?

You don't download them from a website.

To patch your game, simply start the game, sign into multiplayer, and it will detect that your game needs patched and update your game.

This also means that the mod will NOT work for illegally pirated copies of the game.

We will not be supporting illegal activities, and so if you wish to play the mod, please buy a legit copy of the complete edition of the game at Steam or Gamersgate for a low price, or a boxed copy from websites like Amazon.

How do I load the mod once I have installed it?

Mods for World in Conflict do not overwrite the game.

Once installed, you can load them when you desire.

To load MW Mod, launch the game, go to "OPTIONS", go to "SELECT MOD", click on "Modern Warfare X.X" and click "SELECT MOD" at the bottom.

You will then be returned to the Main Menu after a second, with MW Mod loaded.

How do I load the mod once I have installed it?

How do I play singleplayer?

The main/most popular way to play MW Mod is singleplayer, against bots.

1. Load mod
2. "SETUP GAME"
3. "PLAY SOLO"
4. "CREATE NEW GAME" (at the top)
5. "ADD BOTS" --> "OK"
6. Add whatever maps to the rotation
7. Click "CREATE".

What new units are in the mod?

What new tactical aids are in the mod?

Are there any new maps in the mod...?

Yes! In fact there are 13 new maps- all exclusive to MW Mod.

You can find a list of them as well as picture previews in the features section here.

When will [insert feature here] be added?

Mod developing is not our job. We do this as volunteers.

As such, mod development will be done when we have spare time to do so.

Unless we set a release date for something, take it that the new feature/version will be released "when it's finished".

Please do NOT tell the developers to hurry up or constantly ask when the new version will be released, as this is extremely annoying.

Where did NATO go?

Due to time, resource, and modding tools restrictions, the NATO faction has been removed on the game.

All maps that were previously NATO vs Russia have been converted to USA vs Russia.

How do I spawn aircraft like the F-22, Su-27, etc?

Fixed wing aircraft will automatically spawn from "FARP" units. FARPs can be called in by a player in the Air role.

I have called in a FARP but air units aren't spawning. Help!

Air units will not spawn unless you maintain a steady framerate (at least 40fps constant), and there are enemy units present in your team's LOS.

Please make sure that "Frame Cap" is turned OFF, and if air units are still not spawning, please lower your graphics settings until you maintain a good enough framerate that they do.

Helicopters fly too low. WTF!?

MW Mod gives the ability to control helicopters' altitiude.

To increase your helicopter's altitude, issue it a far away move order.

To decrease your helicopter's altitude, issue it a close by move order.

I have a suggestion for the mod! Will you add it?

We have limited time, team members and money to buy models, and therefore it is very difficult to add new units or TAs requiring new graphics.

If you have a suggestion for improving/modifying gameplay, you can post it on the forums here.
