Are you a real 40K TT Fan? If you are, you certainly have been bored of the differences between units in DoW and in the TT. This mod is made by a pure hardcore TT fan just to redefine the universe of the 41st universe in DoW and how the units and gameplay should be. Check out if you don't mind to enter a world where only despair and death awaits you - meanwhile, there is one sure thing : Anything is different...
Another month has passed and we're here, one more time, to talk about 40KTTE new stuff Today, the subject will be about the Chaos Space Marines. We'll be interested by their Techtree in a first part and later, by how they are meant to be played. We'll finish by some general news and a little intro about the Imperial Guard Techtree.

Another month has passed and we're here, one more time, to talk about 40KTTE new stuff.
Today, the subject will be about the Chaos Space Marines. We'll be interested by their Techtree in a first part and later, by how they are meant to be played. We'll finish by some general news and a little intro about the Imperial Guard Techtree.
First of all, it's about the CSM Techtree that we'll say a few words. This Techtree is made by 3 structures : The Fortress which allows you to deploy the HQ choices and all the "classics" of a CSM army (Tactical Marines, Teminators, Raptors...), the Greater Sacrificial Circle will allow you, by making sacrifices in the name of the Dark Gods, to be helped by hords of daemons and posessed units (Defiler, Obliterators, Demon Prince...). Last but not least, the Machine Pit will allow you to deploy armored units such as Land Raiders, Predators or Rhinos. You should know, in addition, that the Greater Sacrificial Circle would need 2 captured objectives whereas the Machine Pit would need 4 Objectives to be buildable.
As you could guess, Chaos Space Marines are very similars to the Emperor's loyal marines but with the ability to use demons or possessed units more specialised in close combat. So, their gameplay will be very close to the polyvalent-marine version but a little more close combat oriented. Meanwhile, this army have the disadvantage to suggest just a little choice of "mortal" units, not as huge as the loyal Marines. In this way, the sole way to achieve victory is to use a combo of mortal and demon/possessed units - especially if the opponent is good.
In addition, Space Marines who have betrayed the Emperor have maintained their legion organization and so, they don't respect the formations and limitations introduced by the Codex Astartes. In this way, Chaos Marines squads (Tactical Marines, Possesed Marines, Raptors...) can reach a number of 20 Marines per unit. This high number will allow you to maintain a lot of pressure on the ennemy when you attack at large scale. At last, beware of the prices of these units.
General modifications have not been forgotten as an important balance job have been done to give you all te chances to win and beat the ennemy, without regarding the race you've chosen.
In this way, the "parmanent cost" of the Kroots, the strengh of the AT weapons, plasma guns and Montruous Creatures have been slightly decreased. Production times for some units, especially for the Necrons, have been decreased to make them more competitive. Their Techtree have been also reviewed and the "Will be Back!" rule.
To finish with, I will talk about the actual modifications about the Imperial Guard. Their techtree is based on 3 structures but they will function diffenrently from other races. They are the HQ, the Barracks and the Mechanicum of Mars.
I haven't decided yet about the Baneblade but, if I put it in my mod, don't attempt to see the ridiculously weak one from DoW.Of course, lots of new units will appear such as the numerous Leman Russ versions, Rookies, Special weapons team, Veterans or the Command Squads.
About troops' platoons, the game system don't allow me to represent it as it is in the TT. Meanwhile, I think about it actually and if you have any ideas to make it, don't hesitate to share them !
Next time : final revelations about the IG, all you have to know about the Orks and a little sneak peak about the Eldars. A demo will come out in the next weeks so stay tuned !
