From the depths a light shall rise, a star of hope for all the World. As a darkness gathers, it shall stand mighty as the blade, and be the shield that shelters as well as the spear that drives to the heart of evil. Yet, as this light will shine, darkness will slither like a tendril of hate, like a fatal disease, and the star will be its slave. Alas, this is the fate of all things, yet most beautiful cruelty is in the fall of Numenor. This mod will bring you back to the Second Age, before the War of the Ring, when the Dark Lord Sauron sought to corrupt and destroy the hearts of Men which lay bound to the fate of Westernesse and both scatter the loyal Dunedain as well as bending to his will those with weaker hearts or demeanour. With an all-new campaign, two new factions, a specialised purpose-built Living Map for use in the War of the Ring mode, plus new maps to battle over, this truly expansive mod will reinvigorate your Battle for Middle-earth experience like never before!
I really like the grim and ominous tone of some of the atwork... It's really unique and unlike any mod I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I just hope I can keep the balance between serene morbidity and over the top disturbing.
Nice! =D
Cheers Matt :)
Armenelos, the Royal Fortress, the Golden, the City of Kings, was a work of art and the pride of man in Arda. It was the watching-place from which the hearts of royalty ruled with a gentle hand and the kindness of humanity, but all that is passed into what we once knew. Stricken as it was with the plague of mortality and greed, what was a proud city has become an aberration of that grand place, a shadow to cast all shame upon the once beautiful Numenor, and with the rise of Sauron the shadow grows ever greater. Hunger and need are the two defining features of this place, that one might think derelict if not for the subtle movements among the ruins of starved lifes scavenging after the scraps. It is a broken people that dwell here, ruled by a king in his tower and the devils on the streets, dwelling in the hovels overshadowed by the Temple that honours to Morgoth, dwelling by the paths paved by the hanging Elendili.
It looks like an ingame shot, or map editor, anyway, getting a good bloodborne vibe from this, very impressive from an rts, did you touch it up in photoshop at all?
This is a shot from Worldbuilder, yeah, and I added the fogginess to it in Photoshop because I haven't created the fog objects yet :p other than that however, this is unedited.
outstanding, I hope we see a video of the game soon :)
