Warzone is a half life 2 mod where you will find yourself roaming through a small scottish town. Hopefully we will bring to you an exciting environment with lots going on. Kelso the town is to be decided on the size and is currently going through a stage of re-construction. We also hope to bring lots of NPC's to the mod. New custom models. The storyline is now set in stone which leaves us to carry on designing... To me that's the fun stuff.
A hl2 Mod called Warzone the mod so far will be based in a world if thats what you want to call it, you will find yourself roaming through subway tunnels, subway stations, sewers, caves, towns and so many more exciting environments. The 'World' is to be decided on the size, population and more. The mod is currently going through the planning stages, coding, mapping and more.
We need you to do all textures for the mod, ok well i say all we don't expect every single texture to be custom therefore we will also be using the preset hl2 textures, anyhow if you would like to be part of the team or you know anybody looking for this type of job, please feel free to PM 'GR3AVE5Y' if you don't think you can do all the textures on your own but know friends that will be willing to help you, thats better for both of us i guess lol.
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Warzone. We love games like Half-Life 2 that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
