Well, we can get the vehicle in (without the moving turret) and we cannot make it shoot.

Basically a moving ironing iron with wheels.

Polloio, my advice is to consult the maker of the recent Red Wars updates and get his advice on making tanks, because he has done it and it might be easier to get it off of him instead of homebrewing it.

The problem with Steamtanks is not only a coding problem, but a lore one: with only 8 ST existing in the whole WHFB (not 8 different kinds, 8 exemplars) it feels like a risky thing to put in, moreover with the unbound Warband AI that could decide to spawn them ad infinitum.

Well you could create a tank with a hole inside it, and within the hole create a character in form of a turret, that could shoot around and not dismount the tank.
But I guess then the game would consider the tank as two entities, which would make sense however because a tank turret can still function while its wheels are broken.
But I know it's more difficult than what I say, I'm merely speculating.

The "bulk" is already there, we are adding new features, sure, but the main stuff (factions/troop trees/a lot of scenes) is already in.

Also, I know The Reckoning mod very well (used to be an hardcore backer of it since it was announced on ModDB) and I know the code used for the vehicles and all the peculiar stuff is a really experimental and heavy one (that's why the author of the mod excluded vehicles from the first releases of the mod eventhough he tesed vehicles since halfway through the first release's wait).

And suggestions are always welcome from our side :D

I meant stability and whatnot really. Hadn't quite woken up properly when I posted lol. Sentences are not my strong point in the morning.

But yeah, you mentioned there are only eight in the lore. Having them as a unit wouldn't quite fit. But how about making them a unique enemy spawn (allied with whatever faction they are part of, I don't know too much about these things) surrounded by smaller units instead of allowing the player to use them?

6 of them belong to the Empire, one to the halflings and one has been looted by the Skaven.

Too much situational, doesn't repay the effort of modelling/texturing/coding such a thing.

The more you have, the better it is as you might have already figured out :)

Though, we are not mandatory searching for professional level 3D artists, but for someone who knows the trade and knows what to do to help the team around with all the needed modelling stuff. Of course, more experience is always welcome.

Teamwork is a must!
