Warm Gun: The Second Coming of the Wild West
A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy.
World War III has been fought to the tipping point and ecologists’ long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the world’s resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means.
This spun western lets you take control of 6 original characters; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range of modern contraptions with primitive power. Classic and innovative, undoubtedly original, every FPS player will find happiness with Warm Gun.
Stay Tuned...

remember, 3rd person animations must match 1st person animations! i have seen lately, that with custom animation implimentations, first person works great, whilst 3rd person doesnt fare so well, or sometimes even exist!
also a weapons carrying and swapping system like gears has been implemented, into "the haunted" mod, and kazeohin has configured a semi-cel shading mutator, that could be cooked into maps, and possibly characters, i hope this information helps, as peicing together, what the community has produced codewise, and tweaking and re-writing, is the true way, to get yourself a TOTAL conversion, Keep up the great work and keep us informed of any technical specialties you have in mind!

Best of luck for the Make Something Unreal contest. It's looking great.
The scenery looks amazing guys...
no characters or gun models in game yet? ... thats not good >_> ... all the models in the world will do you no good if you can't get them coded/ingame :S ...
Been checking Warm Gun for a while now, and I have to say it keeps amazing me. It's definately on a good path, your models are UT3 quality indeed and the setting brings back a little childhood nostalgia ('cause of old cartoons like bravestar, star sheriff etc, all western/sci-fi/steampunk mixes).
And congrats for the interview, I look forward to reading the article. Keep it up guys :D

3. The characters all have different traits and abilities... I cant elaborate right here but we will be posting videos and more media about the characters in the near future.
4. Yes the menu will be accessible during game play...
