Warm Gun: The Second Coming of the Wild West
A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy.
World War III has been fought to the tipping point and ecologists’ long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the world’s resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means.
This spun western lets you take control of 6 original characters; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range of modern contraptions with primitive power. Classic and innovative, undoubtedly original, every FPS player will find happiness with Warm Gun.

Latest News: Warm Gun Gearing up for Alpha

The Warm Gunners have been hard at work over the past couple of months and we are gearing up to bring you a small Alpha release. We are putting the final props together on DM-Cold_Shot and we have a new weapon ready for action.
In this long overdue update we bring you our newest weapon, "The Crossbow". It was conceptualized and originally modeled by Phaeton, then the completion and texturing was tackled by Pieter. We are still in search of a cool name for the weapon so if you have any suggestions feel free to post them.
The next batch of images are from our first level thats soon to be released. The level is titled "Cold Shot" and features a destroyed city where players can duke it out. The notable features of this level will be the flow and choke points, its a ton of fun gaining the high ground and dominating the competition. The level will be publicly released for testing by the end of this month. Stay tuned for more screenshots on it's development.

The Warm Gun team is without a doubt one of the most polished and skilled teams on Moddb. I am highly looking forward for the finished product.

Lotta good Zbrushers working on this mod, can some1 plz tell me...
What's the deal w/ smoothing groups in a hi-poly char? I know it's supposed to be all one smooth group when generating the normal map, but can I specify smoothing groups on the low poly?

i can test the alpha for PS3 if you want (not sure where to post this), bu my other point was i think this mod is amazing and like the fact you have someone from a real graphic art background as concept artist.

We want to get this PC version up to snuff then port it over.
But the next time we post news...and offer some testing jobs just shoot me a message.
