Warm Gun: The Second Coming of the Wild West A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy. World War III has been fought to the tipping point and ecologists’ long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the world’s resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means. This spun western lets you create your own one-of-a-kind characters and unique gangs; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range...
Warm Gun Weekly Update No. 1
As we get deeper into development and new content starts rolling in much quicker we have decided to commit to doing weekly updates. So with that being said, you can expect a Warm Gun update every Friday. So with that being said, you can expect a Warm Gun update every Friday. So now onto business... Here you have a modified AK, the model and textures were done by Tim Bergholz. This gun will be used as one of the primary weapons for the Outlaw class. It's currently being animated and we should see it in-game by next week.
The team is concentrating all efforts on the first two levels. The image below features concept painting of one such level, DM-Overgrown. It's a tight shanty setting in an old shipping dock where people have taken up refuge. Concept by ben the Artist.
We are starting to get a great team flow and production is moving into high gear, I think your all going to really like what we have in store...stay tuned for next Fridays update.

ahahah the ak looks great! i would hate to get stabbed by that bayonet with all the rust i dont think ill die from the stabbing if you know what i mean ;)

Yeh, I remember seeing these 2 models floating around out there for some time. Nice to see they've finally found themselves a home, but the AK really feels misplaced with this mod. Always loved that transport.

Definately some nice work here, this just goes to show that you don't need super high poly models for something to look great, textures do most of the detail work.

Yea as for seeming out of place...there is a huge misconception with Warm Gun, people think it's a Western game. The truth is it's a post apocalyptic shooter with Wild West elements...the surviving people of the world have reverted back to a lawless state...like the 1880's. So your going to see a destroyed city with shanty wooden houses built up...your going to see abandoned vehicles and settings that were once uninhabited have now become sanctuaries for the survivors. That logging truck with some quick modifications will fit right into the world...trust me.
I think next weeks update I'll try to clarify our vision.
